By the sound of that interview, no, not any time soon. It would be interesting to see him with USA Hockey though.... it'd make it very easy to come back to supporting the team in Vancouver if he was GM. Just a thought.

Im so jealous of all of you who are there tonight. Patty is an idol. what an amazing moment.

as far as the game goes... Campbell looks great out there. and the Roy/Max/Vanek line was awesome. did anyone else chuckle to themselves when both Max and Vanek fanned on shots back to back?

Max creates. and it almost always pays off.

Im also diggin Pominville on the 4th line and Kotalik on teh Drury line. brings more balance to the line up. i like the lines, what happens when Connolly is back?

Too bad Tallinder got schooled on the TOR goal. other than that he was having a solid period. Numminen looks good. Lydman still looks slow.

I liked that Vanek and Afinogenov both seemed to be looking for one another and it was working. Success could breed success and then we wouldn't have to worry about either one playing puck hog at the other's expense.

Great period for Roy, I think he had more takeouts than the entire roster against Atlanta in just that one period.

Roy pops Domi and Tie looked hurt.

To wheel out the ol' tired cliches... the next goal is huge.

Ack! My friend who left for Allegany this morning (I'll be joining him tomorrow) just called. He left the camp site to watch the game at a bar in town... AND I MYSELF COMPLETELY FORGOT ABOUT THE PAT LAFONTAINE GAME. What kind of fan am I?

I only missed one period but it is the ceremony I'm mad about. Oh well.

Fun game so far in the second.
