It's not just the goal scoring. Pyatt's looked really comfortable out there from the 1st game. It looks like he's doing things on instinct rather than having to think about it. He's been logging a lot of ice time since the first puck dropped.
Takeo.. Marty plays better when he's pissed! lol.. he's been awesome lately
And yeah I've gotta go with the avatar change for now.. I missed it too much.. lol.. Pyatt and whatever Sabre gets hot will be up there sometime in the near future.. for now Marty's gotta get some props
So as long as someone is getting 'top 6 forward icetime' they must be playing good. Your philosophy is moronic.
Where did I say that? Did you miss the part about the team being outscored 8-0 and Pyatt only being a -1? I was going to simply agree to disagree, but if you're going to try to put words in my mouth and then call it moronic, you're barking up the wrong tree.
Now you are misleading anyone reading this. The team gave up 3 power play goals out of that first 8. So the most anyone could of been is -5.
-1 out of a possible -5 isn't bad. And if Pyatt hadn't been doing the job defensively it could have easily been worse. I'm basing my opinion from having watched Pyatt closely in those games. It looked to me like he was going to the right spots, particularly in the defensive zone. The stats are merely meant to support it. The only real difference I see now, is he has linemates who get him the puck. I'd still like to see him become a more aggressive forechecker and use his size along the boards.
