Eklund: Roloson to Tampa (E5)

On WGR in Buffalo at 7:30 Eklund told White and Simon that they could "hang their hats on" this trade being completed by the end of the day and that it had a "99% chance" of going through. No mention of return.

He said 80% while on Ottawa radio at 10:20.

very plausible. If Minny throws in a few picks and players Richards MIGHT be going the other way and i have no problem with that.

Isn't Richards restricted? I can't see them going for Roloson (UFA) and picks.

I'd be thrilled to get Richards, but I can't see how that makes any sense for Tampa.

Not surprised the Bolts would try and get a goalie, if they don't they may be on the outside looking in at the playoffs.

They're not trading Richards for a back-up goalie.

But Roloson? Then they'll have 3 guys who have been a model of inconsistency this year..... granted, he could get on a role, but not in a crowded crease and a fragile dressing room.....

TB should put Grahame in with one or two good players and go after a Luongo, Dipietro, Belfour or maybe even Giguere if they want to make a run at this year....

Not really. Ottawa proved that TB needs better D and a goaltender. That being said, I thought Burke was pretty good last night. Maybe a couple he could have had, but overall it could have been 8-0 easily.

That's called covering all bases. Even the blind squirrel sometimes finds a nut, if you throw enough stuff at the wall some of it will stick, etc.

The idea of this doesn't excite me a whole lot, a slight upgrade or lateral move doesn't do anything for me.
