Explosion of trades?

It's been very quiet so far leading up to tomorrow's trade deadline. Will teams stand pat with their rosters or will the GM's finally start to pull the trigger on deals tomorrow? Being a Rangers fan, it's a bit strange not having the team pulling off deal after deal by now. It's actually a nice change of pace...

On one hand, there may be trades. On the other hand, there may not be. It's very interesting.

Well eventually a deal will go down and that will start thing going in a hurry. There needs to be that one big one to getthings rolling. Jokinen and Luongo for Umberger for example

My question is: When trades actually do go down, will this HF Board go down as well?

I think HFboards is going down tomorrow for a)fans to cry about the trades that happened or b)fans to cry about the trades that didn't happen.

Hfboards is screwed.

I have faith in the new server upgrade, however the fake Mark Parrish rumor brought 500 people online after midnight and sparked an 11 page thread.

Imagine what will happen if he actually does get traded

Imagine what will happen if the Leafs and the Habs trade a 5th round pick OR future considerations for a bench warmer!

What the heck are you asking for a link to? Are links required every time someone makes an observation?

Here's a link, if you really need it.

Methinks there was a little sarcasm involved.

Usually this is the day (Deadline Eve) when the bigger deals get done.

I expect this salary cap era will put a major drag on deadline day trades. There may still be a dozen plus, but nothing earth shattering like we've seen before.

I think next year's deadline will be better as long as teams don't spend up to the new cap next season.
