Mitchell is close to re-signing.

Minnesota wouldn't do it anyways

Walz would greatly help our PK, but I doubt it will happen.

id rather keep radio and trade eager or someone else. no point in trading a pker for a pker when we need another one.

I'd do it, but I don't know if Minnesota would.

Gagne-Forsberg-Knuble
Handzus-Carter-Kapanen
Nedved-Richards-Umberger
Brashear-Walz-Stevenson
Savage

I have no idea. What the hell would our forward corps look like?

Pitkanen-Rathje
Hatcher-Meyer
Mitchell-Desjardins
Therien

Until (and if) Johnsson gets healthy again. Looks pretty good.

This (much like all the Rolston ones) is a trade that, while it may be fair(in this case I have no clue since I dont know the players on the Flyers side coming over), won't happen because Walz and Mitchell are both Organizational favorites and will be mainstays on the Wild until they are done with hockey. Dupius', Robitailles', Wanvigs' of the Wild are tradeable pieces but Gaboriks', Walz', Mitchells', Rolstons' are untouchable because the value they bring to our specific team is too high for any team to match it(it simply isn't worth it to try and acquire them because you will laugh and anything that seems fair to us).

If you want a Kuba or Dupius on the other hand start throwing out proposals

If Walz is brought back (he's been here before), he isn't playing no 4th line

Spector's sez:

Wayne Fish yesterday reported the Flyers were apparently in talks with Phoenix regarding blueliners Denis Gauthier and Derek Morris and Minnesota regarding checking forward Wes Walz. There's also continuing talk of the Flyers bringing back Mark Recchi.

That doesn't mean Minnesota is trading him.

The Wild are in the hunt right now, and if not, they just gave Walz a contract extension. Walz is part of their future. He's not being dealt. Period.
