Only 1.9 for Abby.. something must coming!

Abby's contract is only 1.9 million/year. We are saving a ton of money, which to me means BG has another player that is expensive that he is going to get.. it's the only reason I can see this trade happening!

Wow.. im just shocked, and excited!

The Guerin rumor from earlier doesn't sound too crazy now

They need a defender but imo, they aren't getting it from us. Aebischer + pick (or maybe Zednik ) for Bertz.

I really hope we don't get Bertuzzi. He is useless for the Canucks this year and he has a heaflty price tag.

If Bob McKenzie says Bertuzzi, then there must be something substantial behind it. This deal is shocking, and leaves a lot of questions to be answered on both ends. Any future deals would not surprise me. We're in for the craziest 19 hours of the season.

No, you guys don't want 'The Felon'. He won't help your team.

That's exactly what i was thinking

Canucks get their no1 goalie and a winger to replace Bert

The Habs get their power forward

Works for both team unless Vancouver is afraid to downgrade Bert for Z

Works for both teams imo...Vancouver gets a goalie with a little bit of extra cap space. I think Gainey thought this through hardcore.

I think it will be more a 3 way-deal with Phoenix...

Vancouver --> Cujo
MTL --> Bert
Phoenix --> DUNNO...

No doubt Snucka! I'm thinking 90% of people will flame me for this but if Vancouver doesn't want Aebi + Zednik then... I think their's a possibility that Ryder will go packing.

How is Aebischer any better than Alex Auld? That trade would make zero sense from a Canucks' POV.

I'd keep the money for either Redden or Chara this summer. Nothing else listed here is as good as one of them.

We won't need to put Aebi + Ryder to get Bert... Ryder straight up for Bert is still a steal for Vancouver.. they'd need to throw in picks. It would be quite similar to this Theo for Aebi deal, except Ryder has much more value than Aebi, IMO.

haha...well as much as I don't think Ryder is as good as people make him out to be, I'd much rather trade Zed than him. Besides, Keenan wanted Ryder so I'd much rather trade Aebisher and Ryder for Luongo

And then Souray for Bertuzzi! But then our D is depleted...hehe...thank God I'm not the GM.

That's actually a very good point...........

I think that i need to sit back and analyze the whole situation instead of talking out of excitement
