Arron Asham Rumblings

Apparently, Arron Asham is telling everybody and their mothers he's headed to Montreal.

Per RIS.

Why bring in a small 5'11 10 goal a season scorer?

I'd rather have him than Sundstrom.

Because he brings grit to a team that doesn't have much of it.

I don't mind adding him, but what would be the price?

Don't we have enough of these guys?
ugh

I'd prefer, oh I dunno, a top line scorer... seeing as we CAN afford it.

Yeah but how much an upgrade would Asham be for our team? Shouldn't we be looking for a top 4 dman or second line scorer?

Asham!!!!!

I'd love to have Asham back in the habs mix

I really hope this rumour is true...
People dont think it's a big one, but he'd be a solid addition to this club... we frankly never should of gotten rid of him in the first place... Cant blame Andre, he really was trying something different, but Asham w/ Begin would be pure murderpuck when they would be out on the same line together

And sacrifice what to get it? I'd rather wait until the off-season to get what we need.

I like the way this team is headed. More toughness, less creampuffs.

With Savard, we would trade away guys like Asham to replace him with guys like Sundstrom and Dackell.

We still need some energy and grit for the 3rd line too, not just the fourth, Asham can skate and go to the net on top of taking a beating, not bad for the third. Our bottom 6 toughness is the most overlooked thing we're lacking.

I'd take Asham... if he has no other suitors and we aren't overpaying as seems to be the general trend for the "buyers" in this sellers' market.

Wouldn't want to give up any pick above the 4th round. Might consider giving on of our less essential forwards like Zednik or Sundstrom (Ribeiro?!?! Nah..?), but definitely nothing else. Not sure any of that would make sense for the Isles.
