That is quite the rip-off, considering that Friesen really had no interest in going back to Anaheim in the first place.

Why would the Ducks trade for a guy that hated it in Anaheim?

A 2nd round pick for someone with less than 5 goals this year?

Somewhere I can picture the Caps GM hitting Anaheim in the face with a cream pie.

This one confuses me, terrbile year in Was, and that really does seem like overpayment by the Ducks...weird...

I'm shocked that the return on Friesen was so high.

A discerning individual. Why would anybody WANT to play in Anaheim.

He WOULD'VE been fair value for him.

Bruke paid above and beyond "fair value".

Pierre McGuire said he just got off the phone with "another team" when they were breaking the Friesen deal on TSN and that the Keith Carney sweepstakes are just beginning.

Whether that means anything or not is a different topic I guess.

OWNED! haha great move McPhee

**Speculation**
Frisen was part of a package deal with Witt and forced Anaheim to overpay for him in order to pull him out of the package.
