Ok, then I agree to all Bruins fans...MOC SUCKS!
But I don't know, the McAmmond deal was a small trade, you could have done that hours before the deadline, but probably both St.Louis and Boston were interested in the same players and the Samsonov deal was more important for Lowe. So he didn't want to trade away a player the Bruins were interested in. So in the end it is all MOCs fault because he waitde too long

I wasn't sure when I first saw it why St. Louis was listed there so I looked into it and read that it was in an offer for Khabi.
I wonder what other pieces were involved. If it was St. Louis straight up for Khabibulin, is it any real surprise that Chicago didn't do it? I certainly would be happier overpaying Nik than Martin.

You make zero sense.

A deadline is a deadline. Obviously the reasons and reality are escaping you.

What reason could there be to veto a trade that is done a mere few minutes after the deadline, the McAmmond trade rolled into TSN at like 3:02, 2 minutes...what difference was it going to make?

While not really a trade that fell through, apparently Pittsburgh wanted Downie from Philly.

thats the thing you're not getting.....3:02 is ok, what about 3:03? 3:05? a line has to be drawn, it's very simple.

Teams had a full season till March 9th to make trades. That's why the call it a "Deadline" You have up to a certain time. If people complain about the time, tough luck.

Yeah, that's good.

It's a deadline. You must be an adult to understand, I suppose.

As much as I hate the kid...I gotta admit, seeing Downie & Carcillo together would be ****ing scary.

The 3PM deadline doesn't make sense mainly to the teams out west, I tshould be at least 6pm giving teams at least 1hr to settle down to play that day's games.

I understand it might allow people to have a little more sleep out West, but it won't do anything in terms of preventing deals from running over the deadline.

Deadline trading is like a game of chicken, and sometimes both guys call the bluff to the point where they end up running into each other and no one wins.

1 hr is not nearly enough time to prepare to play.....3pm is fine, it's not like they were surprised by the time.

You talk to your dogs too? And they talk back too? Wow, and I told my psychiatrist it was normal and he didn't believe me...
