NOT DEAD YET

DiPietro has won his last six starts, a stretch in which he has a 1.28 goals-allowed average and .951 save percentage. DiPietro, who played for Team USA in Turin, also was named Monday as the NHL's top defensive player of the week.

Since the Olympic break ended, DiPietro hasn't allowed more than two goals in a game. He also has allowed one goal in each of his last three wins, including a 3-1 victory Saturday over Boston.

The Isles have won three straight and eight of the last 11 meetings with the Devils.

While DiPietro has been playing some of the best hockey of his professional career, future Hall of Fame netminder Martin Brodeur has struggled for New Jersey.

Brodeur has dropped seven of his last 10 decisions against the Islanders since a 1-0 overtime win on Dec. 10, 2003.

:) Missed the subject when you updated it...

Hey Gods...

Guess you just forgot to change the subject line to NJ.

Also, I want to just let you know that I personally really, really, really appreciate the work you put into the GDTs and that whenever you rarely miss one, that they truly are, very much so missed.

So yeah, that's my way of saying thank you, in case I did a bad job at it...

THANK YOU!!!!

,
Mitch

This game is a loss, I kind of felt the Isles were going to win some of those games last week, but I just think NJ is due to beat us,,

I will be more then happy if we somehow get a point out of this game, but I feel a 2 goal loss....

3-1 Devils is my guess

it would be nice to win tonight becuase it would give us an outside chance of catching the Devils, but i have a feeling they will beat us.

Isles lose 6-2. Just got a bad feeling about this game, since I'll be home while The Girlfriend is out...meaning my full attention will be on the game and I'll be disappointed.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say the Isles look like they did under Goring...the 2nd season of Goring that is.

Accordinng to articles on tonight's game Lukowich is expected to be paired with Ken Klee and Jason Wiemer is not expected to play.

Tonight is one of those FSN2 games that Islander fans with TWC can only see the Devils broadcast on FSN because TWC does not bother showing the other teams feed when two local area teams are playing head to head.

Devils have Elias back, Brodeur has been clearly annoyed with the Islanders ability to beat him and was pulled his last game, fair to say New Jersey will come out ready in this game.

Islanders have really no margin for error and need points out of this game, have to get more scoring and keep getting the defense/goaltending.

As a reminder, fans can catch the game on FSN 2 with Howie and Joe and on the radio at Bloomberg 1130 AM with John and Kinger.

I predict Lukowich gets up for this game and plays a huge factor in the Devils win

I'm actually going to this game (again). Hopefully it will be a similar outcome to last months game in New Jersey.

I'll update on any observations after the game.

Hopefully the Isles keep winning against New Jersey. All good things do have to come to an end though so if the Isles have to break their winning streak I'd rather that it comes to an end tonight instead of in an upcoming match with Atlanta, Tampa Bay or Montreal.

Of course ideally we can take them all down In any case this is the biggest stretch of the season and so far we've been great.

Parise moves to second line, Kozlov to fourth line.

Devils defense:
White-Martin
Abelein-Rafalski
Klee-Lukowich.

Devils telecast is only on TWC, New York. FSN2 blacked out.
