there is no way that's going to be UFA

He just turn 28, so the first doesn't work and he's playing his 6th season, so the 2nd doesn't work neither

Only 2 of the 26 posters mentioned Yann Danis. Does that mean the other 24 aren't interested? He's about to become a UFA. I'd want to keep him.

Buyouts count against the cap, no way in hell do we pay Bonk to not play.
And we already lost Bulis for "nothing", in case you didn't notice he is UFA and the trade dealine has passed.

We will keep him I'm sure. The goalie situation is still very unclear but so many options is not a bad thing.

Our top 4 D already:

Markov, Souray, Rivet and Komisarek.

I think Gainey will go after a big name defenseman in the summer and that guy would enter the depth chart and Dandenault will be the 6th guy. Or he also trades Dandenault and brings another guy. But I think those 4 defenseman above are the only ones we'll see back, which is a good thing.

I also think we'll see Gainey go after another top 6 forward.
As much as I like Bouillon, I have to agree.

2/3 over spread over twice the length of the contract.

Some people don't seem to grasp the difference between restricted and unrestricted free agents.
In September signing Ryder and Ribeiro to one-year deals was the end of the world (mainly Ryder) how does that look now?

Obviously we will definately keep Higgins, Perezhogin, Ryder and Komisarek. Keep one of Huet or Aebisher depending on who plays better until the end of the season and playoffs and how much money they ask for. Let go of Sundstrom,Simpson and Streit. I dont know about Bouillon/Ribs/Bulis though..

there are only a couple I would not resign, those being:

sundstrom- usefull, but if resigned, will no doubt keep a good young player off the roster

robiero- I am not a robiero basher, but if he cannot be moved to left wing, I think we need a bigger more physical no.2 center.

streit- if we are looking at keeping one of streit or simpson as a no.7, I think simpson would be wiser in limited playing time. good team player.

* I think bulis being a UFA, this would be a big loss if not resigned. he gets better every year I watch him play. he has developed a nice, high energy, checking game that he simply did not have before.solid all around player.

Ryder does not deserve a raise whatsoever at all.

Yes but you can buy out any contract with 2/3, but if there a buy out in the contract normaly its for a special price, like Brisbois last year. Is it the same thing with Bonk?

Ooppss I miss read
