Because it's 2006 and he isn't the same goalie anymore.

I doubt it. The Avs are not a top team this year nor have a top defense.

I had fond memories of Théo in those Bruins series but he's no longer that goaltender. For example, this season he doesn't have a single shutout but he's had a number of stinkouts. Is it reasonable to believe that he can just turn on a switch et voilà?

Then why couldn't he do it for his home team? He flopped even when Gainey gave him a new lease on life after firing Julien. He responded with those stinkouts. That finally convinced Gainey that Julien had done the right thing by inserting Huet.

It's kinda hard to miss him since he's only just been traded. I think we'll miss him come playoff time when he was always standing on his head for us...unless Abeisher can do the same.

Unlike many of you, I'm a Theodore fan.

I'm just curious, if Colorado won the cup with Theodore in goal, how would you feel about that? Would you make excuses as to why it happened? Would you be happy for him?

O rly??

Let's hope Huet or Aby will be on fire. Abeisher is a spectacular and energic goalie, it would be great if he could do some miracle in playoffs like Théo did.

the team I think gave up on him. The team just played like crap in front of him. Against Vancouver, when it all started going downhill I've never seen a team just stop skating for the puck. Theo wasn't at the top of his game, but its not like he was getting any help from the team.

at this point, he could turn out to be a top 5 goalie in colorado, but never again in montreal. a few years ago, he pulled off some of the best goaltending I have ever seen, its hard to forget how good he was, but it was a good trade for this team, and I hope he does well .
