What a wonderful ceremony... although I would've liked it if the RDS camera crew didn't keep zooming in on the one member of Boom-Boom's family who couldn't keep it together at all. Leave her be; she doesn't need the camera in her face at a time like this.

Hopefully, no more will pass away before their time is due to them.

really, what other numbers are being retired.

In my personal opinion, they should make sure they save a spot for #11

It hasn't been announced yet. But like it was in the beginning of this season, we will find out come October 2006. Expect a few 70s guys to get the nod this time, I would hope.

Kirk Muller was good, but i think that's going a bit far

As for other numbers, i think i have heard 19, 29, 33 mentioned. 12 was done earlier in the year, anyone know for sure which numbers are planned?

EDIT - going by the post above, I think the above numbers would only be based on speculation. The first 2 though, surely.

I sort of just did a double take... really? 11, retired.. if you mean ryan walter, then sure.. but come on... 0 cups, 0 cup finals, 0 scoring titles.. those are not numbers to get your number retired..

Koivu has the speed...

Why is it that he always gets the hook out and get dumb penalties in the offensive zone?

If it took this long to honour someone who won the Calder, 2 Art Rosses, 1 Hart, and 6 Stanley Cups (I believe), I highly doubt Koivu will ever get his jersey hung on the rafters.

Oh great, here we go with the penalties again. We must give up an average of 5 power plays a game. And you don't want to play with fire, cause that Rags PP has a secret weapon: Jagr's newly discovered Hull-like slapshot and Sakic-like wrister.

Then let's "honour" that number cause there have been some Hab heroes who've worn that. Didn't Claude Provost wear #11? Honour him, Koivu and Muller. Unfortunately for them, Yvon Lambert and Ryan Walter don't meet the credentials.

Are there many Habs fans in Calgary? Any Bars that show Habs games?

I'm moving there in a month.

Koivu will never understand the new rules. Never. I saw this penalty coming 10 seconds in advance.

Wow, how bout that? 3-1 Penguins over the Devils... so far (you never know with Pitt. and their awful D). And do those Sabres (and the Wings for that matter) ever stop scoring? A 6-5 win this time. They're stuck in 1982 or something.

Isn it me or has Ryder not been finifshing his checks lately. The other team makes a pass when Ryder is forechecking and he doesn't even finish his check.. It's disapointing

To be fair, it was a dive on the Rangers' part.

Yes the guy dove but Koivu touched his arm with his stick. Not only it's useless it makes the other players to dive to draw a penalty.
