OT: Question about Alberta

I'm helping my daughter do a school project on Alberta. She seems to think that you only have to be fourteen years old to get a driver's license. True or false? If false, how old do you have to be? TIA.

Really. That does seem awfully young.

I guess she was right after all. You have to be 16 here in BC and you have to get a parent's signature too.

My daughter is home from school today; she says she has a headache and sore stomach. Me thinks she has an acute case of Alberta-projectitis.

Thanks for the info.

Okay, here's another question. My daughter is now telling me that the smoking laws are pretty loose in Alberta compared to BC.

Where are smokers allowed to smoke: inside malls, restaurants, offices etc.? Here in BC there is no smoking inside any buildings such as offices, restaurants, pubs etc.

This is the last question b/c I'm taking her to school asap.
