Did you see Nilsson mob Bergie there? I guess they like each other!

YES!!!

What a play by Yashin to get Bergenheim the puck. That was just some nice skating, passing and a lucky goal on a roller. That, boys and girls, is why you keep shooting the puck no matter what.

Decent news from the other scoreboards as well. Tampa tied 1-1 after 1 with Ottawa, and Toronto is losing 2-1 to Boston.

Was that our best period of the season? I've seen many a game this year, and that one is definately up there. Now keep it up.

haha funny stuff on the kings board. They are keeping a tab of who finishes with more goals since the trade. So far Parrish and Tambo are tied with 1 a piece.

I think I can really get use to this youth movement,,, keep the kids coming, dump the Vets(Yashin,Blake)
Blake and Yashin are both playing excellent hockey right now and both had a hand in setting up the 2 goals so far. This mix of youth and veterans has led to some new enthusiasm (and better defense doesn't hurt at all.)

I don't know how Shaw did it, but it looks like he's turned the Isles around!

easy, he quit the teeth gnashing, stablized the lines, and rewarded good play with ice time, poor play with no ice time.

The kids are all right!

Tambellini showed nice patience on his goal, not just firing it (which would've resulted in just stuffing it into Brodeur's pads) but actually taking a second to move the puck to a place he could score from. Bergenheim may have had a little luck, but you still have to credit his speed that allowed him to make the chance happen and the nice first shot he unloaded.

But the real story in the game so far is just how apparent the Isles speed is tonight. We've been cutting through their defense and beating them to every loose puck. And it's not just that we're working hard, it's that we're a lot faster than the Devils too. It's also forced the Devils to take some unnecessary penalties as well. We've had the Devils on their heels the entire first period, let's hope we can keep it up.

Oh, and brilliant save by Ricky on Langenbrunner. A little lucky maybe, but still outright robbery. I was sure that was a goal.

I think Fischler is a dope, but I actually agree with something he just said. Brad Shaw SHOULD be the Islanders coach next year, playoffs or not.

Also I have a question, am I the only moron watching the Devils' broadcast right now or is the Isles broadcast actually being shown on some secret channel? I checked 60 but it's blacked out. Any info would be good.

Yashin!

What a game for the Bergie/Yashin/Nilsson line. Yashin is having one of his best games of the season, it's good that he got the goal.

3-0

Wow, I missed the first 13 min of the second putting my daughter to sleep and I hear Zhitnik is getting x-rays.... well, at least we're up 3-0.

Damn, now it's 3-1 Tampa halfway through the second. Ottawa isn't the same team they were in the beginning of the year.
