Yeah Snow against Florida seems like a good bet. If he plays another bad game though we should seriously consider using Dooby as the backup. Can't afford to throw points away at this point.
maybe we could somehow kidnap Lukowich and bring him back
the isles realized that if they were going to win a few games down the stretch they could run into no injuries after making the deals they did. the trades were made anyway. those deals were made for the future of the club. this was a risk they knew they were taking.
it is still sad however, if the injures are indeed of the long term variety. those are the kinds of things that can kill a club like the isles.
But Bergenheim, could be a great winger for Yashin. His speed and hitting would open up space, and now that he's finishing goals, it wouldn't be like Yashin was throwing passes at Asham's stick hoping it bounces off and goes in. Plus, Bergie would be able to somewhat make up for Yashin's poor skating and suspect defensive game. Maybe a Bergie-Yashin-Blake line? Yashin seems to be best when he has speed and grit on his wings, even if they aren't the most gifted offensive players.
anyway congrats to Erskine, Bergenheim and Tambellini all scoring their first goals, this is a great game, been a while since the Islanders have played like this!
This game is getting choppy. Only thing left though is for Ricky to get his first shutout of the year. A GAME OF FIRSTS!! First goals for Bergy, Tambo and Ersk, first shutout for Ricky!
That's a tough way to lose a shutout for DiPietro. In any case, this has been a marvelous effort by the Isles top to bottom, their second in a row. Anybody who still doesn't think that we're factors in the Eastern Conference playoff race better take note.
