It'll be nice to see what this team can do against Carolina without Theodore in net.

A shaky Huet and no Markov...we're gonna get spanked. 6-2 Carolina.

We didn't watch the same game. Statistics aside, we were turning the puck over in our own end the whole game. In the offensive zone, they played like individuals. Lots of dumb shots from the point that were easily blocked. Very poor level of hustle until the third period as well. And Huet let in two bad goals again.

Not a good game.

I'm hopeful that tonight we will make this a more competitive match than the previous 3 against the Canes.

A win and the team feels pretty good about themselves and their shot at the playoffs. If you can beat Carolina in a clutch game with teams breathing down your neck and your #1 D out, you belong in the post-season.

That being said, another loss to the Canes, although not the end of the world, negatively impacts the teams psyche approaching a very crucial week.

The two biggest games I think we have are next Thurs and Sat against our rival, the Leafs. We want to be riding a wave of confidence going into that back-to-back set, otherwise I fear our playoff chances will be in jeopardy.

We have had chances recently to knock down Toronto and Tampa, but have come out flat and failed on both occasions. This trend has to stop if we want to hold on to a playoff spot. Don't get me wrong, 6th place is still within 3 ponts and very attainable. But there is a very fine line this year between 6th and 11th. Which side of the fence you land on will be a measure of guts and desire.

Here's to the Habs laying it all on the table for the next 18 games and carrying momentum into the playoffs.

Good luck to Aibischer tonight.

Go Habs Go

BSG=Battlestar Galactica. The expression "frack" you used comes from that show. They use it as a way to swear without alerting censors. If you never watched it, it's very funny how things from a cult hit on the Space Channel has come around to popular culture (I refer to the new version of BSG, not the dated kitchy 70's version of the show that I now find attrocious to watch).

Habs need to win this game!!! No excuses for a loss. Yes i know Carolina is one of the best teams but we have to be desperate and we are more hungry for the points than they are.

When we played Boston in the playoffs, on paper they had the better team but when the habs played their hearts out we won. This is what they have to do tonight.

Even if Markov is injured, we have to still find a way to overcome that and win. We can't just depend on one player. Look at Buffalo, they have had plenty of injuries and they keep on winning.

GO HABS GO

I agree, big game tonight, I think it's one of the biggest this year...a win and confindence will be at its peak a loss and doubt resurfaces.

Komisarek, in the first period, I think he played the worst period ne player has ever played in NHL history. He wasnt as bad in the 2nd and 3rd periods, I feel he'll pick up his game tonight.
