GDT: Flyers VS Canadiens

Habs coming off an ugly loss with the Sens, Flyers coming off a disgusting defensive effort against the Canes. We've had success aguinst these guys last year, going 4-0 but Theo has proved he can shut us down in the past when on his game. If we don't open up the scoring tonight there will be problems. The team needs to reclaim first in the Atlantic and a win tonight will get us that. I read on Philly Burbs that Esche is getting the nod, I don't know why but i think hackett would have had a better performance agaisnt his old team. Esche is still looking for that first win, hopefully he'll get it tonight.

Flyers 2 (Chouinard, Recchi)
Canadiens 1 (Markov)

would love to see LeClair return tonight and get 2 pts (1g,1a), with the flyers winning 4-2.

Tee... your are on the "sticky" hotseat!

Let's see a good solid 60min. from the boys.

Well, you have the first part of your wish. Leclair is returning to the lineup tonight. He usually lights up the Habs so hopefully he continues the trend tonight, should be a boost to the team and the fans since he hasn't played a game yet at the Center this season.

I know i usually predict Flyer losses and you guys don't like it but i think the Flyers match up well against the Habs. 3-0.

I'll say 4-1 Flyers

they will tighten up the defense and get solid goaltending. Gagne will net his first 2 tonight.

GO FLYERS !!

That he did, Amonte got his first as well.

The LeClair-Handzus-Williams line looks decent thus far.

Yeah, off of Primeau and kapanen
and also Amonte off Pitkanen and Ragnarsson

Pitkanen, Amonte and Gagne are all in my fantasy team, I'm liking this so far!

Edit: Toonces beat me to it, but it was Amonte's second of the season, just checked Yahoo and it says he scored against Anaheim.

I've always liked how Gagne has played with Primeau in the past, they seem to always have good chemistry.

Although if Primeau's used to shut down lines primarily, does it really make sense to match with a scorer in Gagne? That is of course not to say Gagne is in any way deficient defensively.

HA! I told everyone that my "Bouncing off the walls" line of Williams,LeClair and Handzus should be used.

Flyers 3 on Handzus's goal!

actaully Gagne is quite good defensivly, in the Worl Juniours a few years back, he was canada's checking center and still lead the tournament in goals

I didn't know about the Canada thing but that's the reason I was covering myself there, I know he's great defensively just other might read my comment as saying he wasn't

LeClair with his first off of Williams!
4-0!

Justin Williams continues to produce.

Does anybody around here still think Williams is overrated? The Kid is a very good playmaker.

man, Pitkanen looks awsome out there. on that Amonte goal he made a great play. he rushed the puck up on the transision, shot it, there was a big rebound and Amonte one-times it by Theodore.

Well Pitkanen is plus 3 with 4 shots on goal and an assist a little over halfway through the game...This is a great sign is he playing as well as those nice stats seem to say..?

The radio commentators sounded really impressed with Pitkanen's puckhandling and moves going into the slot a little earlier.
