Joni is going to be a very special player for years to come. You can see the confidence he has, his ability to see the ice. It's like the game slows down, when he has the puck. He reminds me a lot of a young Leetch, or Mark Howe, in his prime.

Teezax will continue to make the GDT as long as he is hot ... we'll keep it rotating around this year, based on W's & L's.

And let it never be said that Flyers fans are a superstitious bunch.

There is a reason that Kate Smith has a statue outside of the Spectrum, and it ain't her good looks. :p

Here's a funny Kate statue story...
After a George Thorogood concert, in the 80's, as we left the Spectrum, someone had stuffed a pretzel in her mouth, and she had a can of beer in her hand!

For those who never saw the statue, it's Kate, full voice, mouth open, and arms fully extended, from one of her performances of god Bless America!

The pressure is on...we just have to take it one game at a time. Hopefully they can carry their play from last night all week against the panthers Debs and Leaves.

Ok, management AND fans are a superstitious bunch. I guess that's now more accurate, since I'd definitely agree with the second part of your statement.

Teezax, keep this up, will ya'? The last thing I want is to see the Flyers lose to the Leafs or the Devils. That would be painful...

Oh, and I just want to add that George Thorogood rocks hard, and is the greatest pool hall music ever written. That is all.

Heck yea... 3 tough games in a row. The effort against the Habs was inspiring, but I'd really like to see them put on a good show in the next 3. Realistically, I can see us beating Florida (who might be resting Luongo since they play Ottawa the next night), beating a sluggish NJ team and beating or tying in TO. I'd really like them to hand the Leafs a big whooping since I'll be there wearing the Flyers colours as proudly as ever.

damn debbies catching a break not playing the night before like we are. and we all know Florida has a bunch of thugs playing for them. when they are getting there butts kicked, Keenan turns to goon hockey. So i am expecting a very physical game tomorrow night. For a team outside of our division there is a bigtime hatred for one another. remember that game a couple years ago, Flyers won like 6-2 and there was like 7 fights and over 300 PIMS? lol
back to NJ. we have to win that game. It would be nice to win that one, just so we dont have to hear the oh no here we go again, we cant beat the Devils @ NJ.
should be fun thou ESPN national game

Back on the hockey talk.. it was nice to see a complete game, from them. It was a solid 60 minutes of hockey. Esche made the big save, and we took advantage, and scored. 2 goal swing when you look at it. Instead of being down 1-0, we are up 1-0. That's a big difference in how we play the remainder of the game.
Playing with the lead is huge! Hopefully we can do that Thursday, vs. Debs!

First up is Florida though tomorrow. Hopefully the players aren't overlooking the game.

Florida is not nearly the goon team they used to be a few years ago. Don't let Mike Keenan coaching fool you.

All in all, should be an exciting week of hockey. We don't have to worry about Worrell being in the Panthers lineup, hopefully we can breeze by the Cats and have enough steam to really compete against the Debbies on Thursday. We know they will be prepared and Marty always looks forward to playing the Flyers because of the intensity level so he will likely come up big. I'm not really worried about Toronto, i think they'll probably be the least competetive out of the 3.

Let's ruin those damn Debs!!!!!!!
The Atlantic is OUR DIVISION!

I doubt that Hitch would allow that.
