Bouillion and Streit

These guys are in the NHL? I'm honestly speechless.

I don't really have a problem with either of them thought I would not cry if Streit was not back next season.

Bouillon is playing well...he's a great player to have around...

As for Streit, well, I don't think he will have a NHL career...

Bouillon isnt half as good as he was early in the season.
Seriously...I like his physical play and stuff...but...I'm starting to have my doubts about his long term usefullness for this team.

Bouillon is not bad.
He has a tough game against the Canes but all our D's suck tonight. Our best was Dandy, that says it all.

Does the team have anything better that can replace them? Answer is no. So until they develop, sign or trade for someone better the Cube and even Streit will stick around.

Bouillon was good early in the season but lately the last 2 months or so he hasn't been as effective. I wonder if thats in part where he plays a physical game and with his size if maybe he's worn out. He played quite a few minutes early on as well.
With Streit well I won't lose sleep if we decide not to bring him back next year.

Honestly, the speed of the forecheck is too fast for Bouillon. I still can't figure out how he fell into the net. Plus, he made some seriously bad outlet passes today.

Bouillon has character. But he lacks talent. And it showed tonight. When Markov is not there, guys like Bouillon get way too much ice time.

Probably. But in Berne. Not here. He can't figure out the smaller ice surface, and the tremendous forecheck in the NHL.

Note...I said in the long term. I fully expect the team to get a quality D over the summer.

As far as I'm concerned, Bouillon's been our worst defenseman the past two games. I know he can play better... but the entire team's been bad.

Bouillon was the worse player on the ice last night against the canes, and didn't look so good in the last few games. La Presses' Pierre Ladouceur will still give him a 10/10 in his week review....

Streit has been ok to me, lacked of timing but his overall game wasn't that bad... still, I'd wouldn't feel safe having him as spear for the playoffs.

He has some great skills, but to use them he has to get used to the NHL game... there's no vacant spot for him (Markov should be back next game). I don't know what's in his contract, but having a little time in the AHL as a 1st or 2nd Dman in an North American league would be very usefull to him. I hate it when they drop european players (forwards) in the AHL for adaptation, but for a Dman it really matters.

He has still outplayed Bouillon the past 2 games IMO. Yeesh. I love the Cube, but he needs to be better.

Before Streit would go in AHL, he must pass to the waiver, and if any NHL teams pick up him: he can play with Hamilton. It's why Streit doesn't go in AHL.

If Streit go to the waiver, some team will pick him. It's obvious.

I hope that Streit plays in a other team in NHL. With such fans (you're not all the same) like in Montreal, it's awful to play here. Too (10x) negative

I would like Streit with the ducks....

Try this:

Do not check the boards after a loss. Not even after a loss to a cup favorite like Atlanta. That way you won't see the half dozen simpleton threads that appear like clockwork, knocking player(s) that the thread starter has the biggest hate on for.

I've tried this and it really works! My Zoloft is down to almost nothing and I even have whiskey left!

The defense has to be rebuilt if le Canadien is to become a force in the NHL. If Gainey cannot find upgrades in trades or in free agents signings, then I pray that one or more of the unproven prospects (O'Byrne, Emelin, Korpikari) blossoms unexpectedly at the next training camp. Otherwise we can expect to see more of what we've seen this season. The Habs are currently the eighth best team in the East. At the same time, by simple arithmetic they're also the eighth worst team in the East. They're at the fulcrum of a seesaw and can tip either way with the application of the slightest force. In the playoffs? Out of the playoffs? This can be nerveracking for us fans.
