Kerry Fraser wears Helmet for the 1st time ever...

... The Rangers vs. Capitals game marked the first time Fraser has worn a Helmet... probably adjusted it too tight, cutting of some of the blood supply.

Well, I guess that minimizes the chances of him getting hit in the head with a puck and retiring. Meh ... even without the helmet, I always felt that if a puck or stick hit his head, his hair spray would stop it dead in its tracks and save him from harm.

I saw him before the game - went up said "for all of the great work you've done, and all the bad things that I've said, thanks Mr. Fraser." and shook his hand. He said thanks then signed some autographs ...

I missed seeing his redheaded pompadour out there. Seems that he was off balance with that dome on and fell down a few times because of it,

A very important reason why:

"...and it included a decal commemorating the passing of long-time Rangers security man Dennis "Chief" Ryan, who died in early February."

We all love to give the zebras crap, but in my opinion, Kerry Fraser is one of the best in the game..

The game goes so fast, there's going to be mistakes, but I think NHL officials are the best of all pro sports..

He is hardly the best but NHL refs are the best in sports. They blew some easy ones last night.

Agreed. He always calls a consistent game, and thats all the players can ask for. I can't stand the refs who call something in the 1st then let the same thing go in the 2nd.
