I'm not sure Henrik, the gold medal winning, Swedish Elite League Champion has the 'experience'. Just don't see it

What a strange comment, and a strange question to begin with.

Well ealier in the season Renney would go back and forth with Lundqvist and Weekes...but since January Lundqvist has been pretty much our #1.

indeed, it's been a while. Started with him claiming Weekes as #1, which was fair enough, but from then on, things change, and the way Renney has been this year - he goes with the strength. And has done it so well - in keeping Weekes happy as well! As in - not destroying the guy by making huge public statements early on about him being the back up all of a sudden.

But recently Renney has said they are riding Hank's back the rest of this season - which is why I thought it a strange question!

Well I see it as a nobrainer too start Lundqvist. Weekes is an excellent back up in the playoff since he has been in the Stanley Cup finals.

Weekes has played what, 8 games in the playoffs?

Lundqvist actually has more high-competition tournament experience than Weekes.

I know, right. It sounds like the beginings of a cheap shot. This is a non issue. Period.

Pretty sure that the Weekes/Lundqvist dual #1 experiment has been over for months.

The good thing is (god forbid something bad happens to Lundqvist ) we have a #2 with playoff experience, capable of keeping us afloat. If Weekes can channel his old Carolina cup finals self we should have no worries.

Just to make sure I'm not crazy, Irbe and Weekes split duty early on...but Weekes basically took over the #1 duty further into the playoffs right?

Nope. Irbe took over after the first round. Weekes played 8 total games.

Ah, I had it in my head that Weekes took Irbe's spot as starter after he layed a few eggs.

I can see weekes playing a road game or two if the situation is right.

I think they are going to sign Andy Moog or Darren Puppa out of retirement. They have a lot of experience.
