Craig Rivet

How come he barely played in the 2nd period?

He had 2 shifts? There was no mention on RDS? (surprise, surprise)

RDS was too busy with that, to notice that the exact same thing happened moments later, except this time, it's Ovechkin who ended up on his behind...

Souray and Rivet were at it all night vs. Ovechkin.

If im not mistaken, Rivet had just gotten rid of the puck, which makes it a legal hit

That was a great sequence of hits. Haha, loved it.
And Rivet played the 3rd, so...

10 seconds later you know what happend?
Exact same play...exact same place...but this time....It's ovechkin who fell on his ***. And that was on the same shift where Sourray nailed him 30 seconds earlier.

Yeah, I was going to comment on that, IIRC it was a good sequence for hits. AO bested him the first time, but Rivet got the upper hand the second time.

I just want Craig to keep it up. He's having an amazing year.

It was an amazing sequence no doubt. AO dances around Souray with a spin move, picks up the puck behind and the net and gets crushed by Souray. Then down the ice, and Ovechkin runs over Rivet at the blue line, sending him sprawling back. Tries it again a few seconds later and Rivet is more than ready and knocks Ovechkin down on his ***, such a fun shift to watch

If he's not close to 100% and can just hurt himself more, I'd prefer he not.

He's no Markov but he's one of those guys I'd rather see dressed even if not 100%.

I think Rivet and Souray are two guys who don't get the respect they deserve. They've been great for us so far this year... but man, I have to highjack this and say that Ovechkin is awesome!

Streit is a RD as well. He can play both sides, so I'd assume he would be in the lineup if needed.
