I blame shaving my head...

...on Friday, March 17, I shaved my head, sideburns and mustache. I was getting pretty scruffy looking. So out came the clippers and the gilette sensor.

The Sabres haven't won since.

Granted, it's been only two games.

but d'ya think...?

Sounds like a challenge. I think it's time the ol' Longstreet look turns into more of a Doubleday. Apparently we have a facial hair gap that only a sacrifice can appease the kharmic gods.

I'm going to shave tonight.

Also, breaking up the Franco-Prussian line hurts. Bad.

Maybe it's my fault. I haven't had a haircut in 13 months. I think.

And I was thinking it was me being in Texas for five days.

I really didn't like Texas before the trip, but now...

I kept boasting to my Sharks friend how nasty we were and that he needed to watch a game to see how a playoff calibre team runs on all cylinders. Since then he's said he liked what he saw of Miller vs Ottawa and respected the comeback, but I guess that's where the appraisal stops. You can blame me.

I blame myself. There have been only 2 occasions this season (that I can remember) in which I have missed the entirety of a Sabres game. The first was 5-0 vs. San Jose. The second was tonight, 5-0 vs. the Thrash.

Its possible. But I haven't ate a puppy since the slide began either. Hmmm..I will be in Buffalo tomorrow. Anyone have any puppies for me?

I blame my mother-in-law. She was visiting for both the Ottawa and Atlanta games and prevented me from seeing the begining of the games.

I'll blame myself. I went to a party saturday night where the game was on. Before the party I took an Immodium. Ever since, I have not been able to take a S**T but the Sabres have played like S**T.

It's my fault. I haven't had a bowel movement since Friday: time to break out the Medimucil.

I think you're on to something, perhaps we need a poll.

How many people have crapped since last week?

Seriously, I just figured it out. Two of my coworkers went to the Division 1a MA High School semi-finals games, C.M. vs. Arlington High and B.C. High vs. Medford High (my town) Thursday night. The next day, they both told me that they decided that since the Bruins we're out, they thought that they'd start to root for Buffalo instead.

Coincidence? I don't think so.

Gilette Sensor!!?? C'mon Newfie. There's no need for the decadent trend-***** of the shaving world. The Sabres would be staring down a new winning streak record if you'd stuck with a good old, reliable, Mach 3. Kids these days. Hrmph.

I think you have Sensor confused with the new (and insane) 6-bladed Fusion®. Sensor precedes Mach 3.

I refuse to go past 2 blades. All these overmarketed personal hygeine products can kiss my... well, that'd be going off topic.

...and since my superstitious, conspiracy-minded self needs to find something to blame other than BGM for 2 woeful efforts from our Sabres... I blame Gillette.

http://www.boycottgillette.com

From here on, BGM now stands for "Boycott Gillette, MAN!"

unless Gillette is a sponsor of HF... Then the plot really thickens.

Wow. Lot of people in here blaming themselves for the Sabres losing. I know one thing for sure. It wasn't MY fault.

Well, my head's been shaved for a couple of years, I poop regularly, I don't like the Bruins, my mother-in-law is always visiting...BGM officially blames the Sabres for playing like crap.

C'mon. I know you did something different over the weekend. Spill it.

Psst. It's a tongue-in-cheek coping mechanism. A team with a 44-16-5 record doesn't play back to back games with next to no effort. It defies belief and boggles the senses. Thus the bewilderment shown here.
