Streit & the AHLers on the Isles have one thing in common.

They're fighting for jobs.

What Koivu, Kovalev, Zednik & Ryder apparently aren't doing.

you're kidding

reading this GDT, I thought it was like 40-10 for the isles

sounds like dipietro was a standout

I thought Zednik and Ryder created quite a few chances tonight.

Hopefully this was just a case of looking forward to the upcoming games against Toronto. The offensive charge in the third couldn't make up for the defensive gaffes that were made throughout the game. Although the game winner was a bit of a fluke, the Isles had way too many odd man rushes. This team just doesn't have the offensive ability to make up for a lackluster defensive effort.

Wonderful. So for the 4th time in 6 games, Montreal scores just 1 goal and once again it's on the PP. Haley's Comet seems to come more often than a Habs 5-on-5 goal. The door is open for T.O. Can't you just see it now? I know I don't want to, but I can see it. Habs outshooting and outchancing the Leafs, Telqvist standing on his head, refs doling out heaps of PP's to Toronto, fluky goals, Leaf nation cheering and mocking our fans in their own building, TSN and/or CBC drooling over Toronto's play while ignoring us (even if we win, this might be the case). They would still need to keep us from any OT games to make it close, but the Leafs have it in them right now even if it is a road game which they've typically lost these days. But hey, it's Montreal, it's us, we don't even scare a junior team. There hasn't been a Hab team with balls since the early 90s. Now the Leafs have played some bad games at the Bell Centre and yet they still do well and aren't intimidated by our building. I know this team is headed in the right direction, but I've yet to see it and I'm still waiting for the rewards of patience.

Ya they really are. We can't always rely on other teams losing. This sets us up for a huge mini-series with Toronto Thurs and Sat.

I don't expect to win either of them...the Leafs are really really hungry...they are really flying tonight.

Yeah they run into a hot goalie each single game, right?
The way they play, even Theodore would look good.

This idea of spreading the offense isnt working at all. Put Murray on the 4th line where he belongs and maximize your offense

Zed-Koivu-Kovalev
Higgins-Ribs-Ryder
Bulis-Pleks-Perez
Bégin-Bonk-Murray

Dont over play the 4th line especially when youre losing BOB
