Jamie Langenbrunner

We should sign this guy ASAP, he could play any role and has some size. And hes fast. A draft pick of Bob Gainey, seriously......... GET HIM.

Wow, you have a really cool avatar.

I'm on the fence about Langenbrunner.. there are other guys I'd rather see us go after, but if we did get him, I would not complain and I'm sure he would be a great help to the squad.

personally I wouldn't mind seeing Bulis go. But we keep the cube, he's a machine this year.

As a fan of Langenbrunner, he's definitely a solid two-way forward and would be a welcome addition to any team. He can play in an offensive role or in a checking role and succeed.

If your team lacks that type of player, then go for it.

How many points does he chip in a year? Is he that much better than a young Plekanec

He'd be an upgrade over Sundstrom, but I don't think we should think about it unless we could somehow unload Bonk's salary. At this point, I'd much rather try and sign a first liner or a first pairing right handed puck rushing D.

Bonk is playing better since he went with Begin

The point is that he is a very useful player and could energize a team as well as score a goal. We need that, i think we deal zednik and ribeiro this summer and get a power forward and then we sign either Chara, Redden or Kubina.

I'm sure we could find a cheaper guy who could do as good a job. Bonk is a good fourth liner who is being paid like a second liner.

I second that. I really hope Gainey could get Langenbrunner to Mtl. over the offseason.

Exactly, we need some scoring and Pleaks could do the job Jamie would do for cheaper.

Plus, Pleks would lose much of his development time if be signed Jamie. Jamie is not really offensive enough to be a second line center

The Rangers fans say Ward has been a very good player for them this season

I also would have loved to keep Ward but I am not going to cry over something that is done. I rather look to the future and be happy that a guy like Higgins is having a good season and so is Pleks.

no to Langenbrunner. Hes not going to give us 30 goals. We got alot of Langenbrunners on this team. I dont want to sign anymore of that kind of player because we have a ton of them in our system and on our team. I much rather give the spot to latendresse. Inless its a prouven 30 goal scorer like a selanne or some one in that caliber I wouldent even go near that. We've done alot of mistakes with these kind of players.

I think he would be a great pickup, he also has played a lot of center and would be a nice 2nd line compliment to koivu. he could score around the same as robiero, except add a much...much more rounded game
