We play without second A on the roster?! Jesus.

OK. Back to reality. Malkin (after G6) said they didn't execute game plan, hard to explain why they failed, series momentum is gone. Said they won 3 games playing badly, playing plain brand of hockey (I would read between the lines that he wanted to say undeserving or smth of that kind). Said they need to generate more shots/chances.

Also dismissed 2 goals in the end. Said the game was clearly lost already at that moment.

Such a nice reaction

Lets go Caps! I have faith (didn't have much after G4).

Make some noise and make this a night we do not forget.

This is our year.

I assume the Pens will come out aggresively, we just need to do what we have done the last 2 games.

"Great moments are born from great opportunity. And that's what you have here tonight, boys. That's what you've earned here tonight. One game. If we played 'em ten times, they might win nine. But not this game. Not tonight. Tonight, we skate with them. Tonight, we stay with them. And we shut them down because we can! Tonight, WE are the greatest hockey team in the world. You were born to be hockey players. Every one of you. And you were meant to be here tonight. This is your time. Their time is done. It's over. I'm sick and tired of hearing about what a great hockey team the Penguins have. Screw 'em. This is your time. Now go out there and take it."

Its hard not to feel we have caught lightning in a bottle. We have dominated all series and the longer the series has gone on the more we have dominated (outside of period 2 in game 5)

The punishing hits and all the shots we forced them to block are adding up.

Ofcourse anything can happen as hockey is an unpredictable sport but my gut tells me we will win and win by multiple goals. Maybe I'm crazy.

IF that comes to fruition I will go one further...we won't lose another game the rest of the playoffs.

I bring this up seemingly on an annual basis

That was game 3 in the 84 finals.

The Oilers were swept by the Isles the year before and dominated.

In game 1 of the 84 finals the Oilers won 1-0 by a godly effort by Grant Fuhr. In game 2 the Oilers lost 6-1 and lost Fuhr.

Game 3 they were trailing 2-1 and looked dead in the water until that goal. The Oilers never looked back after that goal.

I got the same feeling after this:

Messier won the Conn Smythe that year and Backstrom has been our best player this year. The 2nd fiddle

Don't get baited into 4 on 4 situations. That's what brought the Pens back in the 8-7 game earlier this year, and got em 2 quick goals in the 3rd period of G6.

And if we do get into 4 on 4 situations, guys like Ovie, Orpik, and Alzner should not see the ice. And Nick and Oshie - who aren't too swift either - need to be paired with someone that is fast. Trotz needs to be real smart about who's out there 4 on 4.

I'd love to see a reality show that only films on days that Justin Williams plays in a G7.

What's he doing right now? Sacrificing a goat?

I've only been "watching" on twitter since the end of the second period of game two. It's a lot less stressful for sure.

I watched the entire game 6 yesterday and man it was it nice to finally see Beagle (one of my fav Caps) show up and have an impact.

Score first tonight and I will feel confident, otherwise I just don't see it.
