At least now they'll be rooting for the Preds, right? Can't blame them for coming down, $60 for lower bowl seats is a steal.

I'm pulling my Subban jersey out of my closet.

There were definitely a few dopes in that other thread, but any Oil fan that wants to come on by and cheer for the destruction of the Ducks is welcome.

Well was hoping we wouldn't have to play Anaheim again but guess Anaheim it is. You just know they will be gunning for us and wanting revenge for beating them twice in the playoffs. This series is going to be our toughest series imo. Hoping this is a short series though w/ Preds coming out on top but more than likely this will probably be a battle like it was the other two times we played them and go to game 7. I could see this game going either way but hoping the Preds can come out on top again. Either way I want to see the Preds battling hard and give it all they got.

That's roughly all of us.

Good luck - you guys smoked a better team than the Ducks in the first round, I think you've got this. We got the yips a couple times when we took a lead and had a couple iffy goalie interference calls go against us. Coin flip series, we lost - we'll be back. I'm just glad I don't know or care about any of the top prospects this season.

I was also in Nashville a couple years ago for business - couldn't get over how friendly everyone was and how clean and nice the city was. Fell in love a little bit.

Also lots of Aussies.

Obvious statement, but Game 1 will be big.

Either Anaheim will have a slight letdown after using so much energy to finally break that "Game 7 at home" curse or it will be a springboard.

Although, to be honest, I thought we might have a letdown after sweeping Chicago, but we pulled out a win in game 1 at St.Louis.

I also worry a little about too much time off vs a team in a rhythm. But then again, last year we went right into the next round while sj was off for a week.

Whatever, LET'S GO PREDS!!!

I'm not the superstitious type but for years now every time I have worn my Pred's Jersey and watched a game, we have always lost. So...I'm just probably burn it and give sacrifice to the hockey gods for the cup. Sound good? Probably should have done that with my Burmistrov Thrasher jersey as well so they still might be here.

My biggest reason for optimism, is the schedule. Ducks just finished a seven game series, and don't get any rest with having to go every other night. That took a huge toll on the Preds last year.

Of course I think this series is a toss up, it's hard to say a series will be tougher than the Blues, but I'm certain that this one will be. Preds on the road again, Ducks have to feel good about getting over their game seven slump, and now they want to get over their Preds slump.

I said this elsewhere but my biggest fear is their goon squad will injure some of our already banged up players. Hopefully the rest we have had since Sunday pays dividends.

Expect to see McLeod out there and hope he and Watson can be the Bash Brothers and dish out punishment to match what we are gonna get from the Ducks

This should be a good series, and fun to watch. I still loathe Corey Perry.

Please crush them. 4 games, no mercy.

Just a heads up (Heavy dose of salt, yes, but we shouldn't have even gotten to a game 7): Apparently Getzlaf has diplomatic immunity and goaltender interference is fair game.

As much as I would have preferred a Sunday start for personal reasons (Saturday home game), I'm also ready for this to get going. Let's get it done tomorrow night boys.

Yep, for all of us out of towners, I was PRAYING for a Saturday home game, but this is probably good for the team, so bring it on.

game one physical fatigue shouldn't be a negative factor for the ducks (hopefully mental fatigue does however). staying at home, it's just like a regular season homestand for them rest wise. where one hopes phsical fatigue plays a role is on down the line in this series. another hope is that maybe the ducks only have one day to game plan for this series, but to be honest we didn't have much more practical time than them to specifically prepare because we didn't know exactly which who we would play until they did.

just steal a game out there this weekend and pray that we still will have home ice magic here.
