Any chance that Lavy breaks up the top line? I know they showed up in Game 6 of the last series but I have a feeling that the Kesler line is going to shut them down pretty easily especially considering how much better of a shutdown line that is compared to STL.

Wilson - Johansen - Neal
Forsberg - Jarnkrok - Smith
Watson - Fisher - Arvidsson

Or something.

Good luck Preds fans! I'm rooting for you to go all the way. I'm heading to Nashville today for my bachelor party, and picked up a Subban shirt to show my support.

Any places recommended for catching the game in Nashville?

Plaza party at the arena, then hit broadway/2nd avenue afterwards for your drunken festivities.

Arvy playing with Watson and Fisher sounds good, considering there's a pretty good chance he'll be targeted throughout the series and it'd be good to have someone like Fish and Watson on the ice who can sort of protect him. Not to mention that they could create space for him.

One would also have to think that after the series Salomaki had against them last season that he will be in the lineup. Really got under Perry's skin and that's good.

On the road without last change - I think Lavy better have some offensive punch across the lines. Thing I think hurt in StL after they wiped out Fiala was they only had to worry about 2 lines when we rolled our heavier boys, so they could always get best matchup against JOFA and a decent one against Neal. Sissons back to 4C with Cody and Salo, Watson slides up to play with Hook and Smith, Fish centers Wilson and Neal would be my preference. Kessler committed to JOFA gives that Fish line space to get many good opportunities in front where all those guys shine.

I honestly don't think it's the physical fatigue that impacts them. It's the need to gear back up for another series almost immediately. I've never dealt with that but seems like it has to be difficult to mentally swing from do or die game 7 to starting the grind all over again from the beginning almost immediately.

No idea if this is truly an advantage for the Preds but I have to think having the opportunity to mentally rest for a few days and then having a few days to refocus is a benefit.

Smith and Jarnkrok will be much healthier for this series I suspect we will have 2.5 solid lines

Wanted the Oilers, as I thought they would've been a bit easier but this will do. We can beat any team rn, if we play our own game and Rinne stays strong.

Love that it starts Friday. Drop the puck already!!

The only goal horn I hate hearing more than Chicago's is Anaheim's foghorn. Hopefully we hear it as much as we heard Chelsea Dagger in Round 1.

The plaza party would probably be best (yes they sell beer) but most of Broadway where you'll probably be is a lot of tourists that won't care about the game. Probably. Because it's a Friday that may change although it's supposed to rain.

Winnipeg fan thought process for WCF.
Anaheim =
Teemu Selanne (beloved jet)
+ Randy Carlyle (Jet, Moose Coach)
+ Getzlaf, Perry (Canadian, Olympians)

Nope, can't do it. Go Preds Go!!!!

I can't believe there's still a handful of salty Blues fans soiling the main boards, they're actually making Blackhawks fans look good. Glad we've got the Ducks next, I don't think we'll have to deal with the same level of obnoxiousness.

Which is why I have the Blues as my #1 hated team by a mile over anyone else. They are always like that, even in a November game.

There's no question they've been more annoying than Hawks fans this year

I still find it completely fascinating that if Winnipeg does not get that shorthanded goal in the final minute against us on the final day of the season, we would have faced the Ducks in round 1. What wound up being the two best teams in the conference would have had to play in round 1.

It would have completely changed the outlook of the conference playoffs- one of the two best teams would have been out in round 1.

I honestly think what would have happened is the winner of Preds/Ducks round 1 would be facing off against the Blackhawks in the alternate reality Western Conference Final. I still think the Hawks would have beaten the Flames and Blues.

Completely fascinating that that shorthanded goal, which almost everyone cursed at the time, MIGHT have saved us from being eliminated in the first round as opposed this incredible run we are still on. (Or of course we may have just beaten the Ducks in round 1 and then crushed the Hawks in the conference finals instead of round 1- who knows???)

As was mentioned, the plaza party by the arena is the best bet. It puts you right near all of the bars.

Congrats on the pending nuptials.
