thats tru... he's a very underappreciated player : 52 games 16g 39a 55p (thats pretty good).

As for what to do, i think we stick with the 2nd line that we got now and move Prucha up to the 1st line (prob the only positive out of this). Then we need to call up a offensive guy that we can put on our 3rd line, someone like dawes or helminen.

This sucks for Ruca. Hopefully the NHL is reviewing the tape and a suspension is coming along with a fine for the incredibly stupid refs that somehow missed that call. If Hollweg deserves 3 games this deserves atleast that much. If this had happened to Maryo it would be an 8 game suspension. Time for the refs to pull their heads outta their a$$.

On the bright side this will put Prucha out there on the 1st line with Jagr and Straka-Rucchin-Sykora on the 2nd. Time to call up Dawes and see what he can do. Really don't think this will have much of an impact on the Rangers team. Ruca will be missed but he is replaceable.

If Kaspar goes, maybe Struwick plays on the fourth line. Not that I love that idea.

I'd try:

Prucha-Nylander-Jagr
Straka-Rucchin-Sykora
Hossa-Betts-Ward
Strudwick-Moore-Ortmeyer

Yes. And, IMO, allowing your second leading goal scorer to play on the top 2 lines had something to do with that.

Rest Kaspar until he is healthy. Call up Dawes. I saw him play once. The kid has the heart of a giant and very soft hands. He will make the team next year.

I'm by no means advocating rushing Kaspar back. But if he is ready, those lines are something I'd at least try.

I'd love to see Dawes get a call-up.

Me too. I get the feeling that Orr will play the next two games, until Hollweg is back.
Dawes should have been called up, much like Immonen should have been called up earlier. That is not happening.

I think all of us would like to see Dawes but for now it's going to be Giroux and I hope Alexandre does get a chance and does well with it.

The main thing I don't like about Rucinsky is his age. Apart from that I think he's been a very good player for us. As has Straka--as has Rucchin lately. Rucinsky has decent size--a great shot--passes and skates very well still. He's defensively responsible (apart from sometimes taking a bad penalty). He's wanted to be here and he's not been a locker room problem or at least as far as I know. Hopefully he'll be back for the playoffs because IMO we can use him.

this injury may be a blessing in disguise. It moves Prucha up to the first line w/Jagr and with Nylanders Playmaking ability and two players that can bury the puck. I always thought Prucha should play on that 1st line.

Plus Giroux has been scoring clutch goals all year for the Pack. Alexander Giroux seems to have a nose for the net. Put him on a line with Betts and Ward. This may give us a little more scoring on the 3rd line. The few times Ive seen him play, AG reminds me of Stephane Matteau.
