The 11 wins when trailing after 1 period is tied for the best in the NHL this season and the 10 wins when trailing after 2 periods is also the best in the NHL this season. Dallas has won 25 games this season when falling behind some point during the game.
With the 11 wins on the season when trailing after 40 minutes of play, The Stars set a new National Hockey League record againist San Jose in comeback wins when trailing after 2 periods of play. The record was set by the 02-03 Boston Bruins and 01-02 Toronto Maple Leafs with 9 come-from-behind wins when trailing after 2.

On Saturday againist San Jose, Modano scored his 484th career goal and his 5th goal in his last 4 games. Modano also got the Stars 1st goal in the shoot out to tie the game and keep the Stars alive. Modano's goal to tie the Stars and the Sharks at 3 apice let him surpass Jeremy Roenick for second-place all-time among American-born players. Joe Mullen, who retired after the 1996-97 season, leads all American-born players with 502. Also Modano's POWERPLAY goal on Thursday againist the Kings, tied him with Brian Bellows for the franchise mark in career powerplay goals. It was Modano's 134th career powerplay goal.
Somehow I think the loss of Guerin is effecting this team a little bit. They just look somewhat different. Guerin also remains a relatively big name in the NHL who still demands the needed attention from the opposition. I hope he's ready to go well before the playoffs.. I knew a week would be way too soon for him to come back.
Anyway, I'm expecting a very low scoring game once again. Flames need this win more, I'm thinking they will prevail 2-1, maybe 3-1 with an empty netter, Huselius and Phaneuf score, Langkow sets up two.
Imma say...with Calgary's play on the road this season totally opposite if their home play..
Dallas wins it, 4-2.
Dallas really needs to come out and play the aggressive style of play we play and dominate with. Don't let Kipper get in his mind that he can shut us out again, being the only one to do it in the past 90 something games.
Great win and not to mention it being in regulation and it not taking OT or a shoot out to pull it off! Dallas wins it 3-2 and now we have 7 straight againist Pacific Division. 2 Franchise records set and the Stars now have 99 points on the year! STARS WIN 3-2!
