My problem with it is that is the main takeaway/talking point from a game that the Preds won- it was all about the Ducks.

It's been like that since the Chicago series, it sure doesn't surprise me now.

Such an awesome win. My wife went to bed at the start of OT, and told me if I woke her up like I did in the Chicago series she would hurt me. We scored, I ran outside and yelled, then proceeded to go take a nap ( was running on 3 hours sleep ).

2 OT's, two times my wife went to bed during them, 2 wins. She said she is going to bed early from now on

That's not the better story though. Maybe if we had not blown the lead, the spin would have been different

I don't think it was that much of a factor. They were off Monday and Tuesday, then played at home on Wednesday. This isn't any worse than a busy week during the regular season with a three game home stand.

I'm sure they're a bit more fatigued than normal, but not like they went on a western Canada swing with 3 games in four nights. I hope they're at a disadvantage, I just don't really believe that it's the case.

Also let's not dismiss the rust factor for the Preds who were sitting around waiting for a week. The first ten minutes of the game really showed that.

You know why the Preds weren't coming off a 48 hour turnaround? Because they took care of their ****ing business. **** the Ducks for not taking care of theirs. It's not an excuse.

It's not like the Preds took care of business quickly. They just got lucky with the schedule. Going 6 games and still getting nearly a week off, especially when the Duck's game 6 was on the same day, is kind of crazy.

Then they should have won in 6 like Preds did. It was under their control and they lost 7-1. Another valid point is Preds could have been rusty from being off so long. But they overcame that.

Ducks could have created their own luck by finishing their series in 6 as well. They didn't. That's on them.

Sure they did, unless you expect us to sweep every series or win in 5, which is a very difficult thing to do

No sympathies from me for the Ducks schedule, after what the NHL put us through last season, it's still unbelievable how long we had to wait for our first multi-day break.

So I finally got to see some highlights today and man did Lindholms goal remind me of Weber game 5 goal in 2011... perfectly placed top corner goal off a clean faceoff win.... just glad we got the W in OT just like '11

And Neal's OT goal reminded me of Josi's goal against the Blues (with Ellis with the fake slapshot/pass).

The only way the whole "Anaheim should feel good about the game even though they lost" talk is valid is if you believe in moral victories in the playoffs. I don't.
