when the oil miss the playoffs, which they will, we will have 2 top 15 picks.

Good ammo to trade up if they really see a potential franchise player, or just stay put and get 2 good prospects.

Who's Minnesota looking at? It looks like you'll have one pick around 10 and another pick around 15.

Maybe Bryan Little and someone else?

maybe Sanguinetti and Stewart if we keep the picks, otherwise maybe a jump up for mueller, sheppard, etc.

If you're going to trade the picks to move up, go for a Top 6'er. Mueller would be a good target, as would Niklas Backstrom. Jordan Staal would require a hefty payment.

I think you can do better than Sanguinetti and Stewart, but then again, I'm not high on Sanguinetti. Stewart I like, but he's very raw.

for some reason I can see them jumpin up and grabbing Mueller...

but remember this is the organization who went off the board in 03 and took Brent Burns...

as of right now we'd have about the 8th pick in the draft and our schedule is very tough the rest of the year.

I think we will pick 8th or 9th.

Might not even have to trade up much at all to get a mueller, if he's the player we'd desire.

That's true. Lemaire is a stickler for skating, so guys who can skate well (Burns) will probably always be looked at by the Wild...

And I'd still take Burns on the Leafs any day, regardless of what is happening with him.

I wouldn't be shocked to see Minnesota jump up to grab Mueller. Keep in mind Mueller finished with a PPG as a rookie in a low-scoring league with a VERY defensive minded team (Kevin Constantine...)

Mueller's an extremely well-rounded player with great size who needs at least another year in the WHL.

Is there still a lottery? If so, the Wild's backsliding ways coupled with a bit of luck could land them in the top 5.

its possible i think u can move up or down like 4 slots from where your projected to get picked. If we finish like 8th i think we could pick around 5 if the balls go right.

I thought it was 5 spots, therefore making the 1st pick only possible to a bottom 5 team...mighta changed with the new CBA, not sure...

Time for us to go into to full-on tank mode and get up there...

IMO we should use the picks instead of package them to move up. I guess it depends on where the shelf is in the first round, but I think our basket could use some more eggs.

a goalie like jonathan bernier is always an option also.

Considered best goalie in the draft frome Lewiston in the Q.

We have Harding as a youngster, but not too much behind him.

Khudobin has some upside and Kopriva has done well in Houston. He needs seasoning and could potentially be a solid backup. So could Khudobin. Khudobin needs to work on his head. He gets rattled easily, so I've heard and watched.
