Master Card Memorial Cup Tournament: We still have hope

I have to break out of the negativity about our prospects. Great article on the Memorial Cup and our prospects http://www.sportsnet.ca/hockey/junio...at-storylines/. Aside from the fact that the habs have the most prospects 3 (Addison, Bourque & Sergachev) than any other Canadian Team and all are signed is that it's the most that we had in years. I like all three and think that they will play in MTL one day. Considering where we got Addison and Bourque we have to be positive - maybe they will get it right and we're all wrong

Ya but those guys where not drafted by Bergevin and developed by Lefebvre so you can't compare WTK.

Give our prospect another 8-9 years you will see

Why MB is already talking to Lefebrve?

I don't really care who wins the Memorial Cup. I'm just hope for some great hockey and great performances from our prospects.

I'd take any decently successful coach out of the Q in Laval at this point, I don't even care who.

3 out of the 4 teams are really stacked so it should be a super fun tourney. Seattle is the only real ''Cinderella'' team and even they still have some star power on their roster.

Addison and Bourque are potential fringe NHL players in the future. They are high draft picks and who knows what they do once they reach the AHL. I wouldn't put much faith in these two being ranked high in our prospect pool... they both play on very good teams. That's why they are in the Memorial Cup. Sergachev is a different story. He is a big part of his team's success.

SJ is stacked! I'm interested in seeing what Joe Veleno can do. Came into the Q as a 15 year old and this is his chance to prove how good he is. Don't think he is eligible till the 2018 NHL Draft.

Rooting for my Spits, but I know their chances are slim to none. Not even sure if they win a game in the tournament.

DiPietro can shut the door though so anything can happen..

Roster wise they're a championship caliber team, they have more than enough fire power to compete with the other 3. It's a super short tournament so anything can happen if a team gets hot, I've seen quite a few surprise winner over the years. My allegiances are with the OHL but I hate Erie so I may very well end up rooting for Windsor too !

St-John assistant D coach, Paul Boutilier seems like a very interesting and knowledgable defensemen coach.

Go Dogs! Crush those Spitfires right from the start.

Watch the underrated 2-way play of my man...my Smallman. Might not have what it takes for the NHL...but for junior, he's great to watch.

lol Just realize that the team that represent the Q is a Maritimes team....and that the teams who represent Western Canada and Ontario are 2...American teams. Was it ever like that before?

Let's hope Addison play a hard but neat game. Wonder what Logan Stanley effect will be. Way too rusty? Or a force back there. So many questions. Can't wait for the answers! Awesome week!
