I wouldn't be surprised if they suspend him for 1 game, but it won't be more than that. Great to see the bad blood spilling between us and the Laffs, but all the same, towards the end, I wished we would have just skated off, as the last thing our team needs now are injuries and suspensions.
It was a forearm that hit Tucker in the chest and then rode up a bit under his chin. The major penalty was overkill but considering the road the game was heading down it was an understandable decision by the referee. I can't imagine that there will be a suspension for that.
I'm not a leafs fan... far from it, but if you thought that was clean you must have been okay with McLaren's flying forearm on Zednik a couple years ago in the playoffs.
That Kovy move reminds me of a hit from the movie "Les Boys" when the tough guy had the puck and left the puck and when the opponent went for hit, he just nails him. That may be a dirty move, but it was clean because it was on Tucker

So clearly Tucker's elbow on Komi while he was jumping as well AND his attempted murder with the elbow prior to Kovy's hit just because he didn't connected were clean as well.......
If you're not a leafs fan, you're talking like one.......you should probably think of cheering for them, they need it.....

Wow I blinked so I must have missed Tucker being taken off on a stretcher to spend a few nights in the hospital. The Kovalev hit and the McLaren hit aren't even remotely similar. Kovalev's first point of contact was the chest while McLaren's was the head.
