Obviously needed to wait until now to "announce" this.

Thank goodness, great news. Maybe we can finally have a decent PP.

Yep... I think it was just publicized more as the goalies played well. I never expected Allaire to be around a long time, but I always it was about grooming JIF into the role. I hope that is what we see. Gut feeling... enemy of the show Manny Legace might get his NHL shot.

Yes there is reason to rejoice, now lets hope they actually make competent hires in these positions.

I want to see someone who is known as a genius level offensive strategist hired as that other AC to offset Bednar's incompetence lol.

Since we were going to keep Bednar, we might as well give him the chance to chose his own assistants at least.

Farrish was such an odd fit here - never liked that hire as a Tourigny replacement.

You'd have a hard time convincing Krueger to become GM of this team. You want him to come on as an assistant coach?

You can practically hear the "yeah!"

Good riddance.

Excellent news about Army. He seems like a decent guy but he had to go.

Allaire we already knew about and Farrish was already marginalized.

I don't get it. Someone was pretty assuring that we'd never actually get an announcement that they'd not be returning. That we'd either get an announcement of a contract extension for Army and Co. or they'd just disappear off of the Avs website in June/July.

Strange...

Technically they didn't fire them, from what I understand....their contracts expired?

The sad thing is that I think they would've been brought back had their contracts not expired.

Anyways, one less excuse for the pro-Bednar crowd when we still suck next season with Army gone.

The sad thing is that Sakic probably tried to bring them back.

? I don't know. That's the really sad part.

One things for sure, nobody will be able to make excuses for him after this upcoming season. He's getting his younger faster players, his own assistants, and "a whole offseason to prepare"
