Ok. Brian Burke just said the thing that the Flames said they wouldn't say. Told season ticket holder the Flames could leave w/o new rink.

Burke also says Flames would be able find a place to relocate to.

Dan McGarvey @DanMcGarvey
Burke gets into it with guest on threatening to take the #flames out of Calgary. Says Quebec is one place they could go. #yyc #nhl

Hahahahahahaha. Please move

If they moved the only people in Calgary I'd feel sorry for are Oilers fans who wouldn't get to see McDavid and Draisaitl have their way with the Flames for the next 15 years.

Yah that would suck, only 3 hours to Edmonton though!

He made that comment while the Flames organization is in the middle of a concussion lawsuit with the injured linesman and the league is being sued by former players about concussions.

There is no bigger dingus in all of hockey than Burke, and there are a LOT of dinks in the NHL.

Did Burke at least do his tie up properly before going on this tirade? Or is he going all this looking like a lazy bum?

The Flames relocating would be like a second Christmas. Take the Nucks with you, too.

Nucks can stay. I dont mind them or the fans. Calgary tho? dont let the door hit you in the ass. Obnoxious fans led by the biggest dumbo of them all, Brian Burke

The Flames won't move. It's very much the same idle threats that Katz did back in the day.

But hey, Flames fans, this is what having a ****** front office with arrogant ******* looks like.

Why? Having a good rival to absolutely hate only adds to the enjoyment of the sport. Sweeping them was almost as enjoyable as making the playoffs this year. I also think its an idle threat but if true that would be pretty disappointing honestly.

I like rivalries but Calgary is a different animal. I like the Nucks or Ducks or whomever rivalry, cant handle Flames fans tho. We would have rivalries with other teams

They wont move, but if they did, man thatd be awesome

Yeah, I really have a hard time suggesting I would want them to move. Where is the fun in that? One of the best moments this season was seeing the flames swept. The BOA was just getting good again. The rivalry is fun, even if it can be stressful as fans at times, the life destroying possibility of the Oilers one day being beat by the Flames in the playoffs again It's just a game though, and, did I mention how fun it was to see the flames get swept?

The ducks really aren't a rivalry and the Nucks rivalry has pretty much died with them being garbage. Some of the most enjoyable games we had this year were against the flames the nucks games by comparison were trap fests.

Could care less if the flames move. Their fans are among top 3 in obnoxiousness. The amount of arrogance that came out during their fluke avs 2.0 year made me despise them even more.

Now they have another arrogant **** who can't even tie a tie properly in Burke.

The biggest hurdle will be Calgary city IMO. Oilers sold it as a partnership with Edmonton with Katz forking a chunk of the bill and also attracting businesses.

The only people benefiting from The Flames plan are the Flames themselves. If Calgary city holds a hard stance, and I don't see why they wouldn't given the economy, I hope Burke and King hold to their words and move out

Can you elaborate on this part? Isn't the Flames organization footing a part of the bill? Did the city of Calgary say no to their original 1 billion dollar arena/stadium proposal and go with something else?

I don't see the flames winning this one by making these threats, the city has a lot of clout and can easily attract another nhl team in the future imho.
