And of course the Penguins score when it should've been a PP for the Preds.

So let go of your stick and get a new one.

Crosby is not an honest player.

You shouldn't be allowed to sit on a guy and bang his head against the ice for 10 ****ing seconds.

We'd be cheering if McDavid stood up to a pest like Kesler the same way. I have no problem when superstars respond in turn to the players that constantly skirt the rules to obstruct and cheap shot them.

No matter how much of a bag Kesler is he doesn't deserve to have his head smashed against the ice. Crosby negates a Preds PP because he's ****ing Crosby.

Of course being classy in the NHL means dick all.

But that's because McDavid is actually classy though I suppose Crosby was sort of the same when he was younger, you've kinda gotta have that killer instinct and learn to fight back. People have him under a microscope though because he's the best. I really don't want them to win again lol. But that was a penalty and he was banging his head off the ice, too far and not cool.

You admit Subban held his stick in your previous post and then wonder why he received a matching penalty?

There's a very large difference between holding a guy's stick and this:

I see McDavid's future when watching Crosby. I'm not going to complain about Crosby and his well-earned success (and faults) because we'll be there in a decade defending McDavid from the same baseless complaints.

McDavid plays for a Canadian team. He got mugged and interfered all season long and it meant absolutely nothing to the NHL.

I think he was trying to say, as he legitimizes himself as the #1 superstar, like Crosby he could play the same way and probably get away with the same ****. He might have to if he wants a cup.

I doubt it. We saw the kind of ridiculous treatment Canadian teams get in the playoffs.

I doubt it too, he'd never be Dirty McD even if he could, too much class.
And this game really is over now....

Crosby and Malkin should just split the Conn Smythe if the Penguins win. It would be unfair to choose one over the other at this point. In particular, considering how much it would mean to each of their respective legacies.

Makes me wish Talbot dove more.

The NHL lacks integrity to a stupid degree.

Crosby has fought through the same crap over his career. McDavid, like him, will learn how best to respond depending on the opponent and situation.

One plays for an American team that struggled to stay relevant while the other plays for a tiny Canadian market that will never struggle for attendance.

Having lived in both types of markets (Edmonton and Chicago) I'm well aware of the situations of the two franchises, and that doesn't negate how Crosby has persevered through situations to which McDavid will also adapt. Like I said, we'll be cheering McDavid doing to same thing to a pest defenseman like Subban at some point over the next decade.

And he'll probably get a penalty for it while the victim gets nothing.

In which case we will not be cheering.

we'll cheer because we're homers, everyone else will call it favoritism. That's if it ever happens, I still think the league is totally against a Canadian team winning and will do all in their power to prevent it. See games 4 and 5.

I don't think I've seen a worse Finals since Ducks/Sens.

The refs sucked in the series we played the Ducks; I'm just not a conspiracy theory person.

I also think Crosby is the perfect role model for McDavid. I'd be estatic if he achieves the same level of individual and team success, and that involves learning a bunch of tough lessons along the way.
