Sure.

Is Frolik really available in the E.D. from Calgary?
Yikes that would be bad for them.
Vegas will have a ton of 3rd line talent plus what ever UFA or traded players they can bring in to fill in their top 6.
Petan's contract status alone might get him relegated to a farm team because he would be one of a very few players that wouldn't need waivers this season.

In a perfect World the Jets transition to 3 scoring lines and Petan finds a home with the right people to excel. Our 3rd line becomes a very useable 4th line and we balance out our playing time better.
Lowry scoring 15goals from a 4th line center position would be a very good thing for the Jets.

If we were to lose Perrault then I think that opens the door to more opportunities for Petan down the road with the Jets.
I think as long as Mo is the coach that is a pipedream. He likes to have a defensive 3rd line, always has. We waste Petan's formative years by keeping him. He deserves a shot elsewhere.

The 3rd line in game 1 last season was connor-perreault-Laine....

You mean when little went down in the first period? I think that injury really changed the direction of the season. The plan at first anyways was to have 3 scoring lines. He may of thought he didn't have the horses later in the season, but we never really had an opportunity to see what he would do with an even semi-healthy lineup.

Which was incredibly disappointing. Let's hope he's willing to try again.

Just throwing this out there but would Ehlers become a (super)star in Vegas? The team needs a face of the franchise and someone like Ehlers could be it. Not sure what a trade would entail.

Pretty sure the buy-out window goes up to when the list has to be sent in on June 17.

What possible reason would the Jets have to trade Ehlers?

No offense but nobody is talking about who the Jets are leaving unprotected the majority of the teams are losing a better player.

Don't know much about Kulak but I can't see Flames protecting him over Frolik. I have them going 7+3+1.

There are quite a few teams whose loss will = near 0.

OK, who are those teams and the near 0 player they will lose in your estimation?

When I did the TSN draft simulator I had Arizona losing Burmistrov - really, just for one.

I found that tool frustrating because they had sometimes arbitrarily protected players I would have exposed - and sometimes had taken. Lost my result and don't feel like going through the entire exercise again but there were 3-4 teams losing players of similar value to Arizona's. Quite a few others losing less than Dano if we go 7+3+1 and only a few losing more than MP/Lowry if we go 8+1.

Trades/deals with LV may have quite an impact in the end but if they just do a straightforward draft they are not getting all that great a haul, in my estimation. We'll see in a few more days.

Using something that TSN came up with was your big mistake. Oh well, just days to go now till we see what The Man Who Sold the Forsberg comes up with for his new team.

Dano along with our third rounder. I hope they just like Dano anyway and we get to keep the pick, but passing on Lowry in order to take him... I think it's unlikely.

I'm hoping Matthias, but it looks like Dano.

Only scenario I see where Jets lose Armia is if they go 4-4-1 and send a draft pick to LV to not select Perreault. Losing Armia and a pick would be one of the dumbest things in Chevy's tenure. Not quite extending Mark Stuart dumb, but right up there with trading for Setoguchi dumb.

Thinking we go 7-3-1 (assume Enstom waves),
LVG gets Dano, but Hope Chevy will say "I'll expose MP if you grab us Raanta...so either they
Get Dano or can have MP instead if they grab us Raanta

Yeah, that simulator was strange. I mostly used CapFriendly. The TSN thing was just a place to keep the list of results. Had a power failure with that page open before I saved the result. Might do it again without TSN's help.

Ehlers will be one of the most Dynamic hockey players in the league in 2 years time, I'd only consider trading him for a 1st or 2nd(Overall Pick) and the trading teams last starting Goalie. Do I think anyone would make that deal, no but do I think he needs to be traded(unless we get absolutely amazing return), no he has never shown any negativety in this organization like Kane, Trouba(not saying he needs to be traded, just stating facts) and some other players have.

If Las Vegas passes on taking anyone from Winnipeg for the reason that none are to their interest, I'm not sure if I'd be relieved or insulted

Imagine what we could get for Laine or Trouba instead of Ehlers if they went to Vegas. Either would be super superstars.

I'm not sure why we haven't approached them yet......
