I'm not gonna be able to watch it because I have to study. I'm pissed , but I will tape it. This will be the first game I've missed in I can't remember.

as would i. save the detroit game, vokoun's had a rough stretch. might as well give mase a bit of work and koun another game to collect himself.

Walker "will play" tonight, though we've heard that before. Eaton is probable, everyone else is "questionable"(Zidlicky, Legwand, Perreault, Markov)

terry crisp just mentioned on the afternoon radio update.. that markov, eaton, walker, and perreault would all 4 be in the lineup tonight... with no legwand

of course, we have no idea if he's been drinking this early or not yet

I certainly wouldn't bet against it as the comment was made after 8AM...

This is the first game I've been able to watch in two weeks (I've been in Pittsburgh watching the Penguins at Mellon Arena), but I think the main thing I'm seeing here is a total lack of desperation.

We are taking far too many penalties and simply look lacksidasical in our own end tonight. Phoenix has been able to cycle the puck unmolested in our end and it is leading to far too many scoring chances against. On offense we always look a step off and no one seems to be willing to pay the price to go into the prime scoring areas with any frequency (Harts did a great job in front of Joseph on Hamhuis' blast).

Gotta see some desperation from the Preds this period if they want to get some points out of tonight. Big game tomorrow too that we can build some momentum for should we play a solid 3rd period.

Nice little run right there. Sullivan was owning for a little bit. And drew a penalty.

Trotz should've shown some balls and told Vokes, "No". If in fact he (Vokoun) requested to play in this game. I would've went with Mason regardless of what Vokoun wanted to do tonight.

That isn't the reason we lost by any stretch of the imagination, but just my two cents worth.

================================
Top 10 Reasons why we stink right now.....
================================
10. Vokoun giving up way too many rebounds and second chances.
9. Defense corps not doing their job -- i.e. leaving Vokoun "out to dry"
8. Legwand is hurt (sarcasm). Based on our record with him in our lineup, we can't seem to win without him present!
7. Forwards all seem to coagulate together down low and always seem to miss those great scoring opportunities in the slot.
6. Our guys constantly think pass first, shoot later....
5. Mentally, we are not playing with any desperation for an entire 60 mins. We are content with 92 points!
4. We can't play 5 mins of regulation hockey without hooking, tripping, or holding an opponent. Penalties are KILLING us!
3. Players are preparing for the Wine Tasting & Dinner at the GEC tomorrow.
2. Poor puck possession.
and #1 -- It all begins with poor coaching!!! FIRE BARRY TROTZ NOW!!!!! Our leadership is atrocious!

Okay, okay. Maybe I'm being a little too harsh, but we are definitely slumping at an inopportune time. Can we turn it around for the 1st round of the playoffs??? Right now we would play the Flames if the Playoffs started tomorrow. Two slumping teams...

Go Predators!!! We need to reach 100 points....

I'm going to agree with all but #'s 3 and 1. I think the guys prefer the hard liquor right now (at least I would by now if I were one of them). And number 1 isn't quite there yet, but I am starting to wonder a bit if he has lost his motivating "touch" with the team. One has got to wonder just what is being said in the locker rooms on this roadtrip. Are the players holding themselves accountable enough after a loss?? Doesn't appear that way, but you have got to wonder.

Trotz has done an admirable job with what he has had this year. In light of all the injuries, I think the job he has done has been one of the best in the league as a matter of fact. But he still lacks that ability to "get up in the butts" after a poorly played series of games. At some point, he has got to develop a mean streak in him that will light a fire under somebody on that ice. I just hope it is before the end of April. It would help to if the local media (The Tennessean) would add some outside pressure to the team perhaps. Call some attention to the staff and the players instead of just writing down their post game dribble drabble.
