Rivet our best Player ???

Hello everyone,
i've been a long time member. I usually don't post muchm, but now i just can't get it !!!

I can't beleive that Rivet usually ends up with the most ice time, is it
just me or what ? He does not deserve that spot he is by far the most overated def that we have ten time more than Brisebois. He does not hit or if he does he is the one falling down, he does not pass the puck well, actually he alwyas dump the puck out of the MTL zone which usually ends up in the opponent hands and then they come back, he does not have the skills to protect the puck and then wait to do a nice pass, he just dumps it. Worst of all he is on the 1st power play unit, what the f***k. Why are we so hard on other defencemens, to me so far this season

Souray Exactly the guy we needed he loves to use his sheerwood, and gets mad when he looses the puck to an opponent

Markov - Inconsistent but by far the best offensive d-man we had in a long time

Quintal - Does is jobs, i have to admit that i would prefer seing Komi, but Quintal is OK

Brisebois - Plays basic, but still try to pass the puck when he is in his zone

Hainsey - Like him, can't beleive we don't play him more than that

RIVET - Never liked him in the past cause was always, i mean always injured, no wonder why is Saku's buddy, plus he seams to thinks that he is great, where is his physical play, still remember when he was 20 they kept saying that he would be a great physical d-man with a bit of an offensive flair. Forget that, no physic, no vision at ALL, pas une 100 watt, when you play with a guy like Markov that is the best Mtl offensive d-man and you try to drive the net to gets some points that don't even come and make let Markov handle the blue line by himself, you got to be stupid. Plus, who's is the one running crazy after the opponent along the board, MARKOV, and what is Rivet doing staying in front of the net and wait that the pucks leaves MTL zone, he seems to try to work hard actually he does work hard no question, but they don't use it approprietly.

Sorry for *****ing at RIvet, but i still think he does not deserve the highest ice -time...

BTW I think we are in for a long season.

Positive point from last night game. Langdon looks strong enough and decent NHL player (4 liner) - nothing like (Dwyer).

Lets hope MArkov gets more ice time as well as Brisebois especially on the PP.

Amen to that! I never liked him... And I think he`s playing worst than last year.. I prefer Dykhuis to him. A lot actually. But we should try to replace him with Komi or Hainsey... They can't possibly make more turnovers than him.

I don't mind Rivet getting the minutes at 5 on 5, it's not like we're loaded with defensive stars anyway and Brisebois looks pretty good in his new limited role. Souray could get a notch more, I agree.

Only problem I have is having Rivet play the point on the PP when we have Hainsey in the press box. That is moronic. It's not like we're scoring that much goals that we can do without Hainsey's abilities...

edit : and oppositely to the above poster, I think it's Bouillon that must be benched for Hainsey. Rivet is part of this team.

Rivet could be a good candidate to a trade. He is one of the most rated over the Canadiens players. We don't like him anymore with the Habs, good news!, he still have a good value on the trading market around the league. I hope Gainey could make a package deal including Perreault-Rivet to get something pretty decent.

edit: I would like better a package of Audette-Rivet but I am awake now, usually I dream at 5:AM of the morning. lol

I wish.

But Rivet likely would be passed over on the waiver wire with his long-term deal and insane salary.
