great deal, he's well worth a 3rd rounder in a crappy draft. he's disappointed but Habs fans had big expectations for him.

It's something. Not a big believer in Beaulieu, but he at least provides some workable depth.

It's a start. Better than a 3rd round pick. Still doesn't solve the problem.

Great skater, good first pass. Lacks discipline and maturity off the ice, very inconsistent. Has nice flashes, but capable of the worst at times.

So there's the third protected defenseman, then.

Should we start assuming Bogo will be unprotected now?

Has all the tools, I'm interested to see how he does. I have zero doubt he's a big upgrade over a few of our D from last year.

Solid addition. He's workable. Could see him playing on any of our three pairings in a variety of different roles. One more quality defenseman and we'll have added theee new starters in one offseason.

Hope his attitude settles in with you guys. That's by far his biggest impediment. Just doesn't care. All the tools, no toolbox. So far, the only winner of this trade are the Night Clubs in Buffalo

Best of luck with the self-proclaimed Nate The Great (He used to call himself that as a Rookie until Gionta told him to **** off and get his **** together cause he was a nobody )

B > 3rd

B does not fulfill my 2 top 4 D desire for the off-season

gets a solid fine and whatever (4)/10, average not excited not upset and fairly indifferent, not a huge fan of the player

Phil Housley with Nathan Beaulieu is pretty ideal. I love this low risk high reward trade. He's absolutely an NHL D with top 4 upside.
