Well I sure hope Buffalo is in on that action with LV for unprotected players. Beaulieu might be a nice add in a Brodin trade. I'm keeping hope alive for now.

8OA and Beaulieu (and something else) for Brodin and a pick of Moulson/Ennis.

GMGM reportedly laughed and hung up when they called about the Knights taking Gaborik.

Nashville is protecting Jarnkrok. this was reported in the local news paper the tennessean.

If they go 8 skaters that would mean their protection list would be Jarnkrol, Johansson, Arvidsson, Forsberg, and their 4 Dmen.

Minnesota would have took our #8 pick for Brodin straight up. Why go the roundabout route to get him thru LV?

If Brodin wasn't traded, he's being protected.

...so James Neal is definitely in play then, one year remaining too. He's going to get flipped somewhere by LV.

I'd take a shot at Neal, if it was cheap. See what I did there.

I wish that's all it took. But have to think Vegas would want more then a 2nd and 3rd to take both Moulson and Ennis. Even if that 2nd is our own and not Minnesotas. I'd gladly give them both ours and the MIN 2nd if it meant they took both Moulson and Ennis..hell I'd toss em Bailey or Fasching too.

Vegas is going to have a halfway decent squad. They'll be nothing like the Atlanta Thrashers of the early 00s.

The Flames literally had no one else to protect but Curtis Lazar?

I wish folks would help the lazy ones like myself and list who of note remains exposed as these lists leak.

The league was pretty adamant that there were no leaks whatsoever about lists, trades etc. I don't blame them, if the NHL does this right the expansion draft and the frenzy afterwards can be a major story for them.

The teams going 6-2-1 will be saddened to find out they can still only lose one player in the expansion draft.

No they wouldn't. They're looking for a roster player, preferably ED exempt, and specifically a RH C.
