I'm not sure if NHL Network is reporting it or just guessing, but they have Buffalo protecting Ennis and leaving Larsson exposed.

I feel like the hockey media outside of Buffalo overrates Ennius because they remember his highlight reel goals and solid NHL numbers when he was younger

But he's not the same guy, not at all

Yup, would be a warning sign if true.

Again, not sure if this was a guess or report, but here's a terrible picture of a TV screen my brother sent this morning.

Looks like it says expected list, so hopefully just a guess.

Yeah, fingers crossed this was a poor guess.

If Ennius is protected, losing Larsson wouldn't really hurt much.

Losing Larsson in favor of Ennis is indefensible.

If Larsson is unprotected the Sabres have a reason. I'll wait to hear the reason before reacting.

I'm sure there would be a good explanation.

Larsson is kinda overrated around here. Hes a 4th line centre, losing him is not a huge deal.

Larsson is easily replaceable with our center depth, but you would hope to get some return.

Ennis fits what Housley wants to do... its a gamble but if he stays healthy hes getting atleast 20 goals.

He could be the only player Vegas wanted from us that we could afford to lose. Maybe it's part of a deal that sends us D later.

Larsson is an effective NHL player. Ennis, on the other hand...

Larsson is a quality hockey player that can fill a niche of checking center and do it well. He's a net positive player when he's on the ice. He's cheap.

Ennis brings pretty much nothing to the table in any capacity, no matter what his role. He's a net negative player on the ice. He's expensive.

He is a bit overrated, but he's a solid bottom 6 forward. Ennis is absolute trash. Keeping Ennis over Larsson would not be a smart move.
