The back and side views are good. I'm happy they kept the guitar strings on the numbers and they piano keys inside the collar and Nashville on the outside of the collar.

From the front, I don't like the collar. There is something about that blue stripe that I don't like. And I'm not crazy about a round collar, I like the v-neck. Maybe it's the yellow stripe that sticks out that I don't like. Before, it was just solid blue on the collar.

I hope they didn't try to straighten out the 3 stars in the tri-star logo, it's hard to tell on the photos, but it almost looks like they did.

They do look a bit better on the actual mannequin, but still look somehow incomplete.

I think I'll stick with my jersey-T-shirt.....and my now old jersey.

I'll wait to see the road jersey, but I don't hold out hope if the yellow one is that bland. I can't imagine a mostly white one coming off much better.

I've always been fan of the square neck from the mustards.

Overall if they had broken the shoulder area up a bit with some blue I think it probably wouldn't have looked that bad. The blue collar almost looks lost in that sea of yellow.

It's funny how the Preds jersey is so "bland", but Detroit has "one of the best jerseys in the league".

I would have added some blue to the shoulders, but they're a step up from the horrid piping.

It's because Detroit has worn the same bland style so long it becomes classy and retro at the same time. Also, Detroit's jersey is red and white. Colours that go together very easily.
Our jersey now looks like a stripped down version from last year, not a new design.
They're mostly the same jersey if the pipings are there. The logo is a bit lower than I'd like, and the blue at the bottom is a little bit too low as well. That's why it looks empty.
These would become a classic if they would be made the right way, I think now people just complain because a change was made.

I can only remember one Preds jersey that wasn't lambasted like this one over the past decade. That was the white version of the navy alternate worn for casino night ... a jersey that never saw game use by the team. It's a shame that the posts here don't go back to 2011 so we could relive the commentary about the gold reveal ... and how fast opinions changed once they hit the ice.

They are poor in comparison, but that's not the point. The point is they want everyone to buy new jerseys now for $$$$.

As supreme as they marketed the team when Cogen came on board, I sure hope they don't start going all Titans greedy on us and start just trying to grab every dollar they can.

My friend brought up an interesting thought.

I doubt it happens because they've been pushing "gold" so hard now, but I think the uniforms would be a lot cleaner if we went back to the navy helmets.

This was an NHL brand change, Nashville had no choice.

Yes but they still had input on the design. The NHL switch to Adidas just gives a great reason to make some changes to the kit and sell more merchandise. Can't fault them, I hope that everyone in town buys up the new stuff and continues to cushion the team financially. I just wish they hadn't gone so completely free of accent elements on the jersey. Even one little addition would have probably changed the entire look.

Anyone else feel like the smaller stripes make it look like those detachable cargo pants? Gee, it's kind of hot, guys...anyone want to make it a midriff and 3/4 sleeves look at the arena today?

I don't like the neck. V neck or laceups (in that order) would have been an improvement and the blue band just looks strange.

That was my initial thought but then I remembered how much I hated the blue buckets after first seeing the gold helmets on Saturday games. I don't really like the blue buckets at all, although it was such a subtle change in the grand scheme of things.
It would make the jersey more noticeable for sure.

Seeing some pics on Twitter this morning of the new jersey and while I am still not crazy about them, from some angles it doesn't look THAT bad- better than the promo pics released last night...

I've seen all the pictures, still think it's bad. Whatever though, it's just a jersey. I've got one of every jersey they have ever worn in an actual game and a few charity/etc versions. Unless something changes and I really warm up to this, it'll be the first I pass on.

This view looks MUCH, MUCH better than the others.

A little blue on the shoulders would have been nice, like angled stripes, but I think these will be alright.

This is apparently the direction the organization wanted to go, as they worked with adidas on the design.

I'm just happy it's one of the few with no multiple horizontal lines in the sleeves. It's the most standard thing in hockey jerseys.

It does look a little odd, but I'm wondering if it's a league wide thing and a comfort thing for the players.

I wish the threads here went back to 2011 so we could pull up all of the similar quotes then about the gold jerseys .... or the comments from the days when the navy alternates were teased with the pic of the red eye and checker pattern ...
fans saying they hate a new Preds jersey is the norm ... followed by the second norm of them all selling well.

If you're going to make an announcement that "this" is the jersey, a bland design that looks like a cheap KMart copy deserves some criticism. It may end up being fine, though. Real thing (above) does look better.

Whoa when did HF start removing old threads? You used to be able to read stuff from the beginning.

The earliest thread in this section is from 2012. 67 pages of topics is all there are right now.

It's another proprietary fabric blend that is supposed to be longer lasting, lighter, etc ... just like what we heard from Reebok a decade ago. From the pictures on the mannequin, it looks like a significantly different texture than the airknit based sweaters we've come to know. I fully expect this to look and feel a lot like the jerseys that Nike and Adidas made for international play over the past few years. Now to see which jerseys I can afford from the 2017-18 season.
