Haven't seen much of him, but he has fantastic tools. His production seems very underwhelming for his tools though. Only 18 points in 24 games in Czech U20 league as a forward. As a comparison, czech 5'10 draft eligible d-man David Kvasnicka had 21 points in 18 games in the same league. Would really like to know why he didn't produce more with his tools and size.

6'5 192.1 at the combine.

One comment by a NHL scout in HP's black book: "Reminds me of Benoit Pouliot"

He is massive and has a lot of potential.

Great physical tools.

Really like this pick. If he can put it all together he could be really good.

Would really like to see this kid in the CHL. It would be good for developing his offensive game.

Awesome, awesome pick. Ranked around 50 with McKenzie, Dobber etc.

Don't know too much about him but most scouting rankings have him in the late 2nd/early 3rd range, likely good value for a late 4th.

Sounds like he could be a quality 3rd line checking center with some bonus goal-scoring, but with the potential for more.

Holy s*** he can fly for a big kid.

I don't understand why he fell, favorite pick so far(aside from Yamamoto)

This is a really good pick. I am fairly certain that he will pan out.

Absolutely love this pick. I only dropped him out of my first round late in the season due to lack of production, but the tools are that of a first rounder. If he puts it all together, could be the steal of the draft.

Agreed, Oil Kings are complete garbage at developing NHLers, see: Reinhart, Griffin and Lazar, Curtis.

I like Safin. Big guy, has already had a shot at playing against men.

Could he just a year in Europe then develop in the AHL? I feel like that might work well for the young man.
