CSB Scouting Report on Bob Sanguinetti:
Quote:
WILL BE MORE SUCCESSFUL WHEN HE LEARNS TO USE HIS SIZE MORE - HAS A GOOD SLAP AND WRIST SHOT, BUT HE NEEDS TO GET THOSE AWAY MORE QUICKLY - AT TIMES HE HAS HIS POINT SHOTS BLOCKED

The problem with Little is he is too little

Bryan Little
Position: Center
Team: Barrie (OHL)
Hometown: Edmonton
Country: Canada
Age: 18
Height: 5-foot-10
Weight: 195 pounds
Shoots: right

I think the Kings already have enough small forwards......

plus the Kings are about as thin on defense as a club can be......

I agree with Kingspawn however, if he is still available when the Kings draft a player like Nigel Williams would be a "huge" (pun intended) pickup.

Nigel Williams
Position: Defense
Team: NTDP-18 (USA)
Hometown: Montgomery
Country: United States
Age: 17
Height: 6-foot-4
Weight: 225 pounds
Shoots: left

I just noticed that Ty Wishart is a huge kid too.....

Ty Wishart
Position: Defense
Team: Prince George (WHL)
Hometown: Comox
Country: Canada
Age: 17
Height: 6-foot-5
Weight: 215 pounds
Shoots: left

We're only making plans for Nigel
We only want what's best for him
We're only making plans for Nigel
Nigel just needs this helping hand
And if young Nigel says he's happy
He must be happy
He must be happy in his work
We're only making plans for Nigel
He has his future in a British steel
We're only making plans for Nigel
Nigel's whole future is as good as sealed
And if young Nigel says he's happy
He must be happy
He must be happy in his work
Nigel is not outspoken
But he likes to speak
And loves to be spoken to
Nigel is happy in his work
We're only making plans for Nigel

He is ranked 10th overall by McKeen's Hockey for the 2006 Draft.

Wishart is another one I wouldn't mind the Kings taking a 1st round pick on. I'd probably prefer him over Sanguinetti, if I could choose between defensemen.

The problem I have with that is if the Kings pass on Sanguinetti in the draft I can almost guarantee he will be the next Dion Phaneuf......and we will all talk about what could have been ......like we do every year.

From what little I've read on Sanguinetti, he sounds like he would be like Denis Grebeshkov.

Maybe so but I just read this from the ISS.....and it sounds pretty good......

Bobby Sanguinetti, Owen Sound Attack (OHL)

Sanguinetti continues to get better in every viewing to the point whereby he may become a franchise defenseman. He helped lead the Owen Sound Attack to a 5 game demolition of the highly touted Kitchener Rangers by playing 25 minutes a night in all situations. The ridiculous comments by some scouting services about his deficiencies are laughable in that his game is as complete as almost any other d-man in the draft. Although he isn’t overly physical, he certainly cannot be intimidated and plays strong in his offensive end and uses excellent technique.

Sanguinetti is a really good skater. I think he'd turn out closer to Niedermeyer than Grebs.

Visnovsky over to Vishnevsky. Back to Visnovsky. Back again to Vishnevsky. Shot blocked by Vishnevski! Kept in by Visnovsky. Kings fail again on the power play. Good lord...

Reading this, I have mental picture of the Ducks TV team totally unable to tell the 3 apart. I only make the comment because of the way the names get butchered by one of them. Have to admit, it would make for some humorous TV moments.
