TQS: Aebischer To Start VS Capitals

Tonight, on the mini sports bulletin (Headlines) before 110% on TQS, it was said Aebischer was in nets tomorrow.

I'm calling BS. But anybody has an explaination? Really?

Maybe this time, they'll play some defense.

I believe it...We need Huet 100% vs the Bruins imo.

I would feel pretty inconfident if I were playing in front of Aebischer too.

Abby last chance ... A bad performance = bench for the rest of the year ... maybe he will play if he clinch playoff before the end of the year.

I believe in Abby! He's great!

It's not like this team has done well against Washington this year... Why even risk it?

And the night after Washington lights up one of the best teams in the league?

Hope this isn't true.

Don't get it.

Even if he has a good game what is that going to do?

Huet is our guy and will be our guy if we make the playoffs. We need to rack up the points now.

The only game I would play Aebischer is the game in Boston after we play in Buffalo the night before.

Washinton played tonight in Carolina maybe Gainey figured out it's the last time he can give Huet a rest .

April :

Apr 1 2006, Sat HOME Bruins
Apr 4 2006, Tue HOME Bruins
Apr 6 2006, Thu AWAY Senators
Apr 8 2006, Sat HOME Devils
Apr 10 2006, MonHOME Senators
Apr 12 2006, WedAWAY Sabres
Apr 13 2006, ThuAWAY Bruins
Apr 15 2006, SatHOME Sabres
Apr 18 2006, TueHOME Devils

Personally i would go with Huet , can't bench a guy after his 6th SO is 30games..

Why would only TQS know about it? Nothing on RDS, cyberpresse, src, etc

Did Gainey call TQS late tonight to tell them of his choice ?

I know David didn't have a good start since being with the Habs, but hes a good goalie. I'm pretty confident with him. I think he'll have a good game against the Caps and will keep AO of the score sheet!

Its that kinda thinking that scares the hell out of me. Wash were great tonight vs Carolina, I would not take any chances tomorrow. We need the 2 pts, as april its on her way and its going to be tough from here on out.

Exactly, I don't care if Red Light Racicot is in net. As long as Markov is there, we'll be fine

I agree.

I think one of the problems is, that Abby and Huet have such different styles. One of them gives a lot of rebounds, the other nearly none. Abby had good stats with the Avs, but if you think he gave no rebounds there, you are wrong. His defence simply were ready for that. It's no wonder that Streit, although he isn't the best Dman of the habs, has good stats in front of Abby as well as Huet. He has played in front of Abby previously and knows his style of play without having to get used to it.

For some reason this thought went through my head last night that Aebi might get the start tonight. I would prefer to see Huet in there though.
