Does chambers count as a facebooks avs fan?

Most of the FB fans are more knowledgeable than Chambers.

Sounds like a decent deal to me, also could potentially be moved to a playoff team at the deadline if we're out of it and someone has an injury to a goalie.

The dollar amount is high, but for only 1 year it is plenty fine. Gives some decent insurance for when Varly goes down for a few weeks+.

LOVE this signing. Happy as I was when Jiggy signed on. This man has character by the bucketloads.

I'm shocked. Glad it's only 1 year

Expected player; but a higher pricetag & lower term than I expected.

Yeah, a bit higher than what I was imagining, but understandable for one year.

Capable of playing up to a number one for a short period of time. So I consider this a solid deal and Bernier always has an interesting setup for gear so looking forward to that as well.

Never was a fan of his even going to the LAK days when he was overhyped beyond belief, but he is the best we could've gotten.

Good signing. Has the potential to be just as good as Picks in a backup role, and has starter experience in case something happens to Varly.

I think the one year deal shows they have plans for Martin in 2018-19.

I don't get the feeling he's as chill a backup as Pickard is. I think he's the type of guy that feels he can challenge the starter. We'll see how it goes.

Which is good imo, will help push Varly. And it's only a one year deal.

Taking a one year deal likely signals that's not the case. Plus, the Avs can walk away next year if he doesn't like being a backup.

He took a one year deal because no one else wanted him and because he knows he has a chance to take over the #1. If he takes it and does well he's in the money, if he tanks it be has an in-built excuse because it's a tall order to post good stats playing on a team that can't defend.

Competition for spots, and depth can only lead to success. Bernier, you are a beast - I bet he steals the starting spot for periods throughout next season as we are in the playoff hunt.

Guy is a winner, simple as that.

Love it.

He does have a better glove hand than Varly... so there is that

Says a lot about them as a person - they really need to cheer up. I also can't wait until they cry into their breakfast cerial, as Bernier is dominating for Avs

Think Bernier will do well here. No media pressure like in Toronto.

I'll settle for "adequate". All he really is is a stopgap to keep Martin insulated in the AHL for a year.

It's basically Andrew Raycroft without the pedigree or legion of female fans going wherever his beautiful face goes. Still, Varlamov plays best when there's nobody else getting starts so I'm quite happy with it.

What a weird thing to say about someone who's averaged 48 starts the last four years.
