Too slow, IMO.

Rather have him on third pair with Myers.

So he takes a lot of penalties. Should fit right in.

No

PS: I assume you're getting warmed up on taking Kulemin out at the knees when doesn't perform?
He's 1 or 2 on the left side on our team. Depending how Jmo plays. He is a decent size, great skater and can pass. Much needed depth for us. Imagine Jmo injured and no Kuli

Well, our management has a proud history of making our players take less penalties.

Im curious who you would play him with? What do the stats say? With Buff or Myers?

Enstrom is still better than him and Morrissey is far ahead.

Comparing a Free Agent signing to a player coming off an ELC is a bit apples to oranges.

I don't mind the overpay from a $$ perspective but don't like that extra year on the contract. Things could get tight in that 3rd year of his contract. Hopefully the cap goes up or TNSE would not be afraid to use a buyout on a player to make sure we can sign Laine.

It's not my money but one wonders if they would get better value from Weircoch at league minimum. Note that Buffallo is desperate for D, even more than us esp when it comes to LD and they didn't think he was worth keeping.

He is a strong skater, faster than toby for sure, way harder on the puck. He won't be 3rd pair on the Jets if he is healthy.

Did we ever target Wiercioch? Too expensive? Didn't want to play in Winnipeg?

Top4 if Florida Kulikov joins the team.

1 year too long, but I guess Chevy took some safety with Myers/Enstrom deals(expected) ending in 2 years time.

Apparently the 3rd year is our option and is moveable.

He's a third pairing defender if the Jets do what's right for them. He's the 6th best defender on the Jets.

Our option? There is not such thing.

No. I think you are under estimating Kuli. Enstrom is too slow, old and injury prone.

4/5 depending who is healthy. Also he is young yet lots of experience, takes many years for most D men to really develop. Assuming he ascends over time, he is a quality, young, experienced D with lots of tangibles. Hard to find those guys.

I'd rather overpay for Kulikov than ice Stuart or Chairot again.

I think we need defense before offense. We may have the most offense in the league this year or close to it.

Based on Toby's play last year, I'm afraid Toby might be overestimated too. As well as Kulikov. Time will tell.

I don't mind Chiarot in sparse #7 role.

I rather overpay to play Kulikov, especially if he avoids taking as many penalties as he has historically.

Maybe he can be a decent #6 if he can cut down on the penalties but more likely his penalties are going to skyrocket with us

who's a better player?
Kulikov or Hainsey?
Hainsey was $3 mil/year for 2 years for an old dude.
1 more year and $1 mil more per year for someone that should still have some upside.

and it wasn't Alzner (or, my god, Shattenkirk's upcoming signing) money
